The sharply divergent views on what led to the deadly strike in eastern Libya played out across the airwaves Sunday and are sure to generate more questions this week. In two interviews over the weekend, Libyan President Mohammed el-Megarif joined other members of his government in declaring the attack a planned assault, possibly by an Al Qaeda-tied group.
"The idea that this criminal and cowardly act was a spontaneous protest that just spun out of control is completely unfounded and preposterous," Megarif told NPR.
But U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, in a string of interviews, stood by the administration's position that the Libya attack was just part of the wave of protests over the anti-Islam video circulating on the Internet.
"What sparked the violence was a very hateful video on the Internet," Rice said on "Fox News Sunday." "It was a reaction to a video that had nothing to do with the United States."
She also repeated the administration's message that the attacks, which started Tuesday in Egypt and spread to more the 20 U.S. posts in the region, were "spontaneous," not planned or timed for the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks."

The Obama administration continues on the path that Muslims are nothing more than innocent pawns in the hands of dictators and are really just a religious group trying to worship as there leaders implore them too. Why doesn't Obama view Catholics the same way? Forcing them to provide free contraception for women is against their religious beliefs. Should Catholics rise up with weapons and demand a Jihad against the Obama Administration? Why are Catholics attacked and Muslims revered under Obama? Is he Muslim?
Obama is the biggest threat to our culture since its inception. He is the radical that Reverend Wright made him to be. He is a threat to our nation, our freedoms and to everything 300 years of struggle has built. It is time to stand up and tell the world we're mad as hell and we're not going to take this anymore.
Obama administration is still pushing this nonsense that it was spontaneous. All he does is make himself look weak and fullish. There is actually a good chance that he believes this delusion.

ReplyDeleteAs the narrative being told to the public on the media continues to change and literally fall apart under scrutiny of contradictory evidence Al Qaeda has stepped forward to verify what objective journalists have reported.
Specifically the attack on the US Embassy in Libya that culminated in the lynching of US Ambassador Chris Stevens was revenge for US drone assassinations.
In the statement Al Qaeda goes onto to make it clear the Muslim protests that are spreading around the world are in response to the transitioning of the U.S. and its allies transitioning from the targeting of specific groups to targeting of all as a whole.
