There is something fundamentally wrong with Romney/Ryan

MSM whose new darling is Ryan, says the Repubs are "excited," "energized," " hopeful" and that the party is experiencing a rennovation with Romney's selection of Ryan for the #2 spot.

Should not the spotlight be on the man in the #1 spot?

C'mon Republicans, keep the gifts coming---------We, the Dems, are ever so grateful.

  1. Maybe the MSM is tired of beating up Romney and needed a new person to beat. The MSM's darling is Obama has been for 4 years. Imagine if they reported about all the under, unemployed or the state of the economy. O would have to leave the stage. But alas they report and beat on the Repub's a pass given to the Dem's.

    Ever hear of media bias???

  2. Media Bias! 92% of them donate only to Dem causes and Obama, they used to be go to folks for facts, now they're all a bunch of tabloid junkies lying out of thier faces everyday in order to keep darling in office.

  3. Afternoon Gents. I think we would probably all agree, the cable media driven world is very challenged when it comes to being objective. What the media most loves is anything that puts faces in front of the television. Romney and McCain are both very boring, to a degree it really doesn't matter what their politics are. Obama, like Clinton, is friendly and affable and approachable and again, it doesn't matter what their politics are as long as people find them engaging enough to watch.

The MSM, if there is such a thing in a world of cable, will deliver what people want to watch and will switch from that the minute it begins to no longer titilate.

    1. Max,

I agree with you, except that I find Obama arrogant and condescending, as well as . . . well, let's leave it at that.

Coming from someone like you who is never condescending or pedantic, this is such a biting insult.

  4. Carol please do tell... What are you grateful for?

I ask this as this country has not been so divided since the Civil War; as our debt increases to levels we cannot pay off; as cities all across the country declare bankruptcy; as Americans are target as kidnap victims in boarder states; as REAL unemployment is well over 19%; as more than 46 million are receiving food stamp... and you are grateful?

  5. Angie,

My guess is the gratitude is based on the supposition that Ryan and his views on the deficit and changing Medicare will play well with voters, to the advantage of the democratic ticket.

For what it's worth, it could turn out that way. But I like the pick.

    1. Sorry, not completely acclimated yet. I wanted to edit to add my characteristic sardonic aside:

      8.3% official unemployment
      16 T national debt

Really, I think those two numbers ought to be the thumbnail mantra for the Republican party. Rather sums up a big part of the problem and an answer, or retort, to a four more years chant.

      U6=15%
Includes the people who gave up and the under employed. US.

    3. loumann9942,

Yes, I know about the other numbers; just makes the case even stronger yet. But the official number is, or should be, bad enough, and one would think it would serve as a movie theater scream that it's time for a change. We'll see.

    4. The U3 number isn't even close and that's why the government uses it.

Much less that the real thing.

  6. WTF is Ryan or Romney proposing that is going to fix the numbers you people are claiming sky fail over? You guys don't like Obama or Democrats and that is the only thing you have to offer to the discussion.

    1. Max...As far as I'm concerned Obama and the Democrats have fixed nothing that They said they were going to fix,so I think we should fire the old team and start over with a fresh team.
After all hopey changey has not worked and "Forward" is just going to be more of the old.
