  1. Geez, looks like I can register enough times in enough states to ensure that my man, Carrot Top, gets elected. Sorry beotches, that's just how it's going to be...

    1. It's not that no one cares. It's really a matter that some people just can't accept this for the chickenshit that it is. If, Lou, there was truly widespread voter fraud, I have no doubt the Republicans would have found it in the last election. Looking at what is being done county by county, I see what looks like a VERY targeted effort to make it tougher to vote in places that are suspected to be heavily Democratic leaning.

People can make of that what they will.

    2. Lou.
A good post full of factual information...Stormy, Can you afford the gas and the time to register enough times to make a difference (see below) Max if all opponents were as bad and dishonest as their detractors believe, there would be no need for an election as the candidate would be elected unanimously by all the 100% of honest voters. Finally Max in your final post, what difference do you think the "fraudsters" can make in an electorate containing a two horse field to be decided by millions of voters and then the college? and no doubt the alleged tricks are being played by both sides.

You have to look to find it Max. If you don't look, it just doesn't exist. Why do you think the Democrats fight to eliminate any requirement for voter ID at the polls? You need an ID to get on an airplane, Visit the White House on a tour yet for one of the most important functions of our country, Democrats want people to walk in and say here I am, I ready to vote and my name is Max. Why would Democrats be so unwilling to let the states clean their register of dead people?? For every illegal vote, you disenfranchise 1 citizens vote. With 30+ million illegals in this country, none of them vote. If you believe that, You are naive.

Why do you suppose you have bilingual ballots? People becoming citizens are required to read and write English. People born here attend school where English is the primary answer.

    4. The other day I came and saw my neighbor out in his yard with a canister on his back spraying something along the property line. I said, "Hi Tim. What are you doing?" He replied, "Hello Jan. I'm spraying alligator repellant." "Alligator repellant?" I asked. "Tim, this is Ohio. There aren't any wild alligators within 1200 miles of here." To which he replied, "See ... It's working."

Voter fraud occurs frequently - 99.9994% of the time in the tallying process or in the form intimidation/suppression. In-person voter fraud almost never occurs. It just doesn't. I've posted links to independent studies that show the numbers. More Americans have been struck by lightning than have committed in-person voter fraud over the last decade. Google it.

1st, it's a stupid, inefficient, nearly impossible way to fix an election. It's just much easier and more effective to hack a voting machine, tamper with ballots, or drop a hard drive full of uncounted votes on some election official's desk. 2nd, to your point about illegals, why the fuck would some undocumented worker risk committing voter fraud. Can you think of an easier way to get busted and deported?

Voter ID laws are the 21st century version of the poll tax. Period.

It's spraying alligator repellant in your yard in Ohio. It's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

    5. Interesting comments.

If only citizens vote and and naturalized citizens are required to speak and read English, why do we have bi-lingual ballots? Why do the Democrats, politicians refuse to allow states to clean up their lists of registered voters?

Citizens do not commit voter fraud. Do illegals vote? Can you say absolutely not? They do not vote? How would you know unless there was an effort to clean up the registered voter lists. Why do we still have dead people on the list? If there is no voter fraud, why do the politicians refuse any proposal to require a valid? The states have offered to provide free ID to valid voters that have none or the resources to get one.

As to the illegals, your joking of course. Just like going to the emergency room for a doctor visit. Give a bad address, name get your visit. Hospital sends the bill, gets it back as undeliverable, writes it off. As to voting, without a valid ID, who is to say they cannot vote??? As to deported, ROTFLMAO. The visit the friends, relatives and walk back across the border for round 2, 3, 4 etc.

In Michigan I have a friend who works on a farm as a manager. He unfortunately hires illegals as they will accept the low wages. He gets a request on occasion for a person to go home for a month or two. Sure no problem. The illegal self deports and gets a free ride to the border. Finishes his business and crosses and returns tp work.

    6. This stuff, to me, is like submerging a bound woman and saying "She must not be a witch" if she drowns. I understand the talking points the Republicans are using and strangely, I still come to the conclusion it's bullshit. I guess I'm just not smart enough to understand what is at stake.

Alligator repellent?! That is outstanding LOL

    7. How do I know a bunch of illegals aren't going to show up in person at public polling place to commit a crime for which it would be exceedingly easy for them to get caught?

The same way I know my lawn in Ohio isn't going to be infested with feral alligators.

    8. Guess it really doesn't matter as this country has come to the implosion point anyway no matter who is elected.

Personally, The cost of illegals is estimated at 160 billion a year but what the hell, chump change. To bad you don't live in the west where we are over run, then it might be a little more important.

Who in the hell would catch them anyway? Big Bird?

Nothing's at stake Max as long as they vote the way you want them to vote. Everything if your in the opposition, it invalidates a legal citizens vote. To me a minor issue of citizenship and the responsibilities that go with it. When your head is in the sand all is well.

    9. I think you're turning one issue into the other Lou.

There's just no data to support that illegals - or anyone, for that matter - turn up in droves at polling places to commit voter fraud in person. Nor is there any logical motivation for an illegal to do so. Particularly if they're wandering back and forth across the border every other day. The data available supports the exact opposite. In person voter just doesn't happen very often.

I don't think a Voter ID law is gonna do anything to solve the issue folks being here illegally.

Again, it's spraying my lawn to keep the gators away.

    10. I'm with Funky on this. On one topic a while back Lou, you blasted me for supporting Obama for his refusal to deport Mexicans. Literally the next day, Romney came out and said he will continue what Obama is doing. Why should an illegal alien risk getting deported when BOTH candidates are saying they will not deport them?

"Nothing's at stake Max as long as they vote the way you want them to vote." And here we get to the heart of the matter. Republicans are seeking to make it more difficult to vote AGAINST them. Republicans, of course, are getting swept up in this fiasco too, but we are only hearing about limited cases of that.

    11. As there is no voter fraud by illegals, wonder why they keep printing those bi-lingual ballots as everyone who votes as a citizen and can speak and read English.

      Another government excess.

    12. I guess it is just possible that as you say, this is a very important event in your country. For those people for whom English is a second language, it is important that they fully understand the voting instructions, candidates names and other essential information. Surely it is better that they have the information presented to them in their own language.
      Cheers from Aussie.
