Hillary Clinton takes responsibility for Libya US deaths

"I take responsibility," Mrs Clinton told CNN. "I'm in charge of the state department's 60,000-plus people all over the world [at] 275 posts."

" Charlene Lamb, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Programs, said in her prepared testimony (.pdf) that she had a firm grasp on what happened in Benghazi, starting mere moments after the mission came under assault. ”When the attack began, a Diplomatic Security agent working in the tactical operations center immediately… alerted the annex U.S. quick reaction security team stationed nearby … and the Diplomatic Security Command Center in Washington. From that point on, I could follow what was happening in almost real-time,” Lamb explained."

I guess the smartest women in the world running for that presidential gig in 2016 is fried. Why hasn't BO fired her or Ms. Lamb for 9/11?

And why on God's earth do we need SIXTY THOUSAND people in the State Department???

  2. Maybe she'll put her hand in a basketof Libyan figs searcing for a Kenyan asp ... how convienient on the day of the eve's debate.

She's on her way out the door anyway in a few weeks so her effort is no more than a fart in a hurricane. It has no meaning let alone import.

And yet, the perceived annoyance from the crowd here that this just got taken off the table for Romney tonight seems palpable. Admittedly, even I am skeptical about this. Yet, wouldn't it be nice if we could expect that people would step up and admit a mistake and explain why it won't happen again? That's a bit of a foreign concept to partisan hacks.
