The election is still anyone's to lose. Having viewed the first debate, it seemed to me that President Obama was showing symptoms of burnout. Governor Romney, on the other hand seemed almost energetic and alive. Did you see it that way? The next debate should tell us more.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I meant "most energetic and alive", not almost.
ReplyDeleteLOL...the Stepford Prez...
DeleteThere does seem to be a lot of volatility in American Politics. That a debate can lead to a swing as identified in the reference, is a reflection of the shallowness of the intellect of those who listened to the debate and who made the quantum jump from support to opposition .All this on one debate without regard to performance over the past four years. Even as a nominal Republican I cannot accept the degree of shallowness portrayed here.
ReplyDeleteI suggest that the bias of the selected comments on this particular site is a demonstration of all that is wrong with American politics. I have long advocated compulsory voting but having read so much during the Republican lead up to the nomination of Mitt Romney I am coming to the view that prospective voters be given a test in order to qualify to vote!.
Your media, when they occasionally report facts un-skewed by prejudice, are promptly howled down by tin pot demigods who exist not as unbiased patriotic Americans but as well renumerated talking heads. It has been my sad observation that the average bloke in the street has a mind, not used to thinking for itself, but for following donkey like along the path of least resistance.
I do apologise for sounding off but if your friends cannot tell you the truth, it will be much less palatable coming from your enemies!
Cheers from Aussie
