Sex, lies and video tape

The current administration in power is facing more than just one can of worms.

Sex, General Petraeus and the Housewives of Tampa.  Great stuff, just what we need to keep Rice off the front pages for use of...

A video tape defaming Prophet Muhammad as the reason for the murder of our citizens, and our Ambassador, for days after it happened.

Lies, endless reams of bullshit on all sides, the President, and the MSM that worships him and every liar in the most liberal press corp in history.

It would be so easy for Obama to just keep standing there in front of the legions of lying MSM no longer doing their collective jobs to ask the real questions, just to be satisfied with whatever dribble drools out of the lips of the folks that brought us "you need to read the bill to find out what's in it."

The Middle East is now on fire, where is the MSM on this?  Iran is publishing in broad daylight they are going to ramp up enrichment, where is Obama?  Hiding behind the skirt of Ambassador Rice?

Is this what you idiots voted for?  Four more years of lies?

Thanks, if my kids were just a few years older they'd be watching this crap, brainwashed by the one sided left controlled left press and politicians that don't represent the real folks in this country.

Without the "left coast" (California's 55 electoral votes) maybe we could have a fair election, but it is clear that "fair elections" are going the way of the Twinkies.

  1. At some point TD, you need to be an adult and accept that the people you vote for are shitty candidates and that the extremeness of your message is not what a majority of America wants. The claims of helplessness against an evil MSM are also becoming lame. I will not disagree that the MSM is full of partisan hacks who do not possess a shred of objectivity, but that group also includes Fox news and the scores of blatantly right leaning content providers of print and radio whose audiences number in the millions.

The MSM that does not do it's job in questioning our foreign policy and military use, is the same MSM who stood by silently after 9/11/01 and in the run up to the Iraq war. It cuts both ways. If you are honest TD, you will admit to yourself you are not remotely moderate. Whether you like it or not, metaphorically standing here screaming posting end days like links from zerohedge is NOT going to pull people to you side. If all you can do is label everyone an idiot who does not agree with you, your views will remain relegated to being ignored by the majority.

I vote for the future of my twins who getting fucked by Obamacare and the debt Obama has run up.

I assume that the way post is that it's all about you, got kids Max. if you do I guess you'll have them think that the hand out is better than getting a hand dirty

As to the "MSM" it was spawned by the Bush hate, they do not cover Dem folks like the give passes to the left.

I dare you to publish what I will as a response to your shallow attack on me, read this, it will be a topic soon.

    1. TD, I absolutely would not have voted for Obama if the Greens were on the ticket here. I fully admitted in 04 that John Kerry was a shitty candidate and I have quite a bit of contempt for the Democratic party. You are concerned apparently with Obama's six trillion, but not the ten that came before it?

No TD, it's not all about me. I did not want Bush's stupid tax cuts and the resultant deficit spending they started. Much as I attack your bitterly angry posts, (admittedly, something I know doesn't help) I never forget that your bitterness affects me. We share the same country. We vote in the same system. To the extent that your unhappiness pushes you further and further away from center and away from the type of candidate who would be open to compromise is the extent to which I have to accept very unpleasant outcomes when the uncompromising candidates you vote for win.

Having access to healthcare TD, is not going to wipe out your childrens future. Your repetition of the message that everyone who doesn't see it your way is just looking for a handout does not help anything. Such an attitude is not a basis for compromise. I read your planks TD and will comment there.

  3. TD and Max.
Interesting posts both, but do you go far enough in the philosophical pursuit of reason and objectivity?
We can always see what we want to see in any main stream publication. We expect to find unbiased reporting of the facts as we anticipate them to be! In other words we want the “Daily News” to confirm our preconceived notions that Obama is not fit to lead your country or that Romney is too elitist and arrogant to be considered for the top job.

When the media reports are at variance with our preconceived ideas then, being human, we shoot the messenger. If this situation continues for a prostrated period then the media becomes polarised and we get the posts from Twins Dad which start from the premise that the MSM is as dishonest as his political opponents.

Can I suggest that neither the political opposition are inherently dishonest nor is the MSM deliberately mendacious in their reporting or editorial content. These contentions are supported by a cursory examination of the facts. The Politician is doing a thankless job because, in most cases, his political conscience persuades him that his is the right way. The media have a different agenda; the paper you read today will become wrapping for garbage tomorrow. The publisher however has been successful in persuading you to pay for the paper and for the advertisers to pay for the ads. How successful he has been will be determined by the bottom line at years end.

Of course having read the paper or watched the TV coverage of some event or editorial opinion, about half the viewers/readers believe the facts have been satisfactorily presented. It is the other half of the readers or viewers who have a contrary opinion.

The moral of the story, never believe anything you read in a Newspaper and even more so, never believe anything you see on TV. The reader/viewer is the final arbitrator and the court of arbitration is when everyone gets to the ballot box.

    Cheers from Aussie.
