  1. Merry Christmas. They lit up the spending tree again. Precisely why I left the GOP on 2009.

  2. Republicans have instituted rules that block such measures unless they’re paid for — restrictions they will waive for themselves on this particular occasion.

  3. RUSH :"Sanctuary cities, fully funded.  All Mideast immigration programs, fully funded.  All these things that have been exploited by terrorists.

The Democrat leftist wet dream has just been paid for."

    2. You know William, it would be one thing if, when Republicans cut all the social shit you people seem to hate, it would actually result in both a decrease in the budget deficit, and the national debt. Objectively, what will always be an issue is that it is magical thinking to claim you can just arbitrarily take a meat ax to the budget and nobody will miss it. Near as I can tell, however, this is really all the tea bags want to do. They hate all spending and hence aren't really willing to work at making cuts that would require them to work with Democrats.

    3. The progressives are in charge. You're getting the American you want max.

    4. You say that William, I'm guessing, because it is very, very very important to you to label good guys and bad guys in order to continue believing it's all really that simple. I want to say wasteful programs cut as well because it is inevitable that someday, taxes are going up, and when they do, the people I am concerned about, IE those in the middle and lower economic classes, are going to get hammered even more than they already have. The mega rich who, have been literally given trillions of dollars thanks to the FED, will have the option to just live off their money.

It's not the America I want. The tea bags are just mirror images of far left progressives, they are okay with pork that is in line with their kick ass and take names mentality. It's convenient to keep blaming progressives William, but it's magical thinking nonetheless.

    5. What didn't the democrats attain? Two months ago when Boehner departed the money was spent. This round of largess always preprogrammed. They sliced and diced an ever increasing pie. What didn't the democrats get?

    6. Hey Max.

      What's to hate?

50-60% of Americans get aid from the Feral Government. Face it Americans all what theirs. Debt doesn't matter to either party and it's all about getting re-elected.

The best part is Americans are a bit slow (left and right alike) and will finally get it when the wheels fall off the bus.

    7. William how are the progressives in charge. I remember the wait until we have control mantra of the repubs. Well they have control and there have been two things happen. Lots of spending, and tax cutting, or when that doesn't get done there's nothing. Increased spending and tax cutting, that William is what has really put this country on the slippery slope and that has been done by the repub majority under Bush and now this repub majority. Oh yeah our saviors the repubs. Guess you will be sitting this one out huh William,

    8. My GOP rep voted for the package. I'm sitting on my hands when he requests my vote. Everything is funded including baby butchers. It's on the progressives of both parties. 25T here we come.

    9. Your comment, William, is clever. You ask, "What didn't the Democrats attain?" and go on to claim that basically all spending is progressive in nature. There are tax cuts in there, and there is blockage of a tax on expensive, employer provided health insurance plans, which was supposed to contribute funding to the ACA. What didn't I get as a progressive? I didn't see offsetting cuts for the spending increase, so I'm not happy about that. It's not all progressive spending. I do want to see pay go.

Lou, that 50-60% figure. It sounds all ominous and scary, but I'm not sure what it means. Does that include medicare and SS?

    10. It includes all entitlement spending.

    11. The Cadillac health plans that got the deferral extension were mostly union plans. Obamacare is getting a pass and will be enshrined for another half decade. The progressives know this and by the way has anyone heard the words tort reform out of the mouths of our lawyer-legislaters lately? Same old shit, just different progressives running the tally's.

  4. I find it curious and mildly amusing that there was such an uproar to get rid of Boehner, and then they replace him with Ryan who continues the same Boehner agenda. Except of course he has the parties support. Maybe it's because he grew a beard. Very confusing.

  5. Your kidding, the GOP passes an increase in spending. Here's a hot one for you, the GOP is no different from the Democrats who signed on and believe it or not, Obama signed it laughing got them again.

What you miss, is the losers are the American people.

p.s. There is a difference between the parties support and the support of the people.

    1. 100% of Americans get aid through the government. What You miss Lou is how the government is helping you everyday. You just haven't figured out what the government really does for you.

    2. You pay for what you get.
I pay more for great local roads.
I pay more for great local schools.
      I pay for healthcare.
I pay for food, lodging, great private college education.

Local government, state government I pay for provide great services. Your right, I have yet to figure out how the Feral Government assists me.

Seems I give far more than I take.

      Live in America today.

    3. Your local roads louman are state and federal government funded. Sow me a mayor who doesn't get matching funds from federal programs and I'll show you a dying town.

The government gives money to your state to improve those schools. Yes they are mostly financed through property taxes but the Fed is there with even more funds.
Although I am not a fan of who gets this next one, did you know Louman that without government subsidies especially price supports that you would not be able to afford to eat your cheerios every morning with maybe a little sugar and milk. Some buttered toast and OJ on the side. You can afford that breakfast because our government gives price support and subsidies to our farmers and producers in exchange for a steady affordable price. I countries where those controls and policies don't exist food is very expensive. You need to start looking at the big picture Louman but then that's the difference in you and me. You are a small "it's all about me" thinker. I tend to look at the whole and what benefits a vast number of my fellow citizens most not just myself.

    4. And unlike you rick, I can afford anything I want in life.

The milk subsidies to farmers make it more expensive. The corn subsidies make it more expensive. The Sugar make our sugar the most expensive in north America.

And no rick our district receives little from the state or Feral Government for schools as it is a wealthy community. Instead it goes to the failing school districts in the cities.

Yes, the Feral Government kicked in a small amount to expand I 25 a few years ago but the bulk was financed by the State and local government via bonds.

Government is like a virus consuming until there is no more to consume.
