It's a shame to me that the Democrats can't find a better candidate. But, we get what we deserve. I think the Benghazi/email crap is just that, but it doesn't matter because it won't be let go of and we will have to hear about it for eternity until she is gone from the public eye. I almost want to vote against her just to be freed of hearing a bunch of militant, sanctimonious assholes endlessly wail about her crimes against humanity.
But again, we get what we deserve. If Trump and Hillary are the best this country has to offer as POTUS candidates, we should all be ashamed.
I tend to agree. It is the Republican's Clown Car versus the Democrat's Matriarchy. But seeing how the President is treated by the opposite party and seeing the D.C. gridlock where the good of America is ignored by a Congress with a 9% approval rating, why would anyone want to be President? Megalomania I suppose or gross ignorance, take your pick.
There are several candidates I give the benefit of the doubt to for running because they believe they can make a difference; Sanders, Carson, Santorum, Kasich, and maybe Paul, although in his case it's a little different. As for the rest, I see a combination of the following ingredients, 1) A strong belief they are smarter than all the others 2) A belief it is their time or that they have been "chosen" to lead and 3) An enjoyment that everybody wants to hear what they have to say- even in defeat Walker maintained these traits.
Congress has a 9% approval rating as you mention, and yet the Republicans were given even more seats for doing nothing. That doesn't make any sense to me.
Max I'm sure that William will be by soon to make all the sense you need of this Benghazi farce. We have a way to go. The repubs spent 80 million on investigating the Clintons in the 90's. I think they are only to about 5 Mil this time. 80 mil to prove Bill got head from a consensual adult, only 15 mil to figure out how we got two enormous buildings knocked down by a bunch of hooligans that really didn't even know how to fly an airplane. Makes no sense at all.
