Of course white liberal lives matter Mike... no one ever said they didn't... A good many folks would just like them to keep their overbearing bureaucratic benevolence to themselves and give everyone else a little peace.
May you enjoy it as well TS. It would be nice if more people followed Reagan's lead and pardoned the Turkey and took a day to just reflect on what they have to be thankful for.
No football games, no family gatherings, no Macy’s parade, no Thanksgiving greetings, an English wife and a regular workday tends to give the day a different character. We do a nice dinner and have a bit more of a reflection but all in all… a regular day…
We're delaying our feast until tomorrow. I'll read Washington's proclamation at the table but then probably obey the women and not get to overbearing. The children and grandchildren will be challenged of course as is tradition. After all we are less than a year away from election time. Happy t-day mick. Go Tigers!
We ended up talking about squanto and the Pilgrims. The grandchildren insist on calling Indians native Americans. We read sections of the Washington proclamation. The children 8,6,5,4 and 2 are learning by leaps and bounds.
Yes America is still great and will get greater still. The Princeton area is abuzz about the Woodrow Wilson curfuffle with black lives matter. Outlet stores seemed swamped, roads congested, one beautiful Thanksgiving day and day after. I'm a blessed father and grandfather. Another grandchild on the way before Christmas.
All lives matter William, even those of white liberals.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Max.
Deleteto you as well William.
