I’m starting to feel like a parrot: “ANOTHER KOCH ATTACK! ANOTHER KOCH ATTACK!”
It’s not even a full sentence. But it gets the point across -- another Koch-affiliated group is attacking Kay on North Carolina television.
With all these attacks, we’re surpassing $16 MILLION spent to defeat Kay. More than any other Senate race in the country.
But my feathers aren’t ruffled -- because I know Kay isn’t backing down. And I know all of you are willing to help her fight back.
William you wanted something local. Her campaign manager. Is that local enough for you. 16 million spent in NC by the Koch's who have no business interests in the state.
ReplyDeleteSend her some money Rick.
DeleteYes and in Colorado we are being bombarded by Steyer funded infomercials for Udall hourly.
ReplyDeleteYet another reason to just say no to television.
Ha ha Steyer is not campaigning for Udall per se but against climate change deniers. And more directly he challenges the benefits of the Keystone XL pipeline. He has spent 700,000 this election cycle. The Koch's have spent 15 million just in NC against Kay Hagan alone, about 44 million nationwide. Steyer is small potatoes in comparison. A single issue promoter not trying to buy the senate.
DeleteIt's not just Udall but 50 million worth of buying votes.
DeleteAgain how is Koch any different than Steyer?
Steyer hasn't spent 50 million he has spent 787 thousand on one issue climate change. Although he has pledged 100 million if necessary. As I said he isn't campaigning for Udall (god I wish you'd read the damn post) he is a one issue horse. climate change and funny thing is he used to be a huge investor in fossil fuels. He has seen the light ...........
DeleteMAybe you should read a bit more.

Did I say he spent 50 million?

"It's not just Udall but 50 million worth of buying votes".
DeleteWell yeah ya kinda did. Your links say he could spend 50 million. but he might not. Again for 1 issue climate change. Koch's will spend almost that much here in one race, 15 million and counting against Kay Hagan.
We are still 5 months out from the election and Hagan really didn't even have a primary challenger. So 15 million already and the campaign hasn't even gotten hot yet. Her rival Thom Tillis will need all the help he can get after he helped destroy this state.

And Tillis is having trouble with his conservative credentials. He now calls himself a compassionate Conservative. Sound familiar?
"It's not just Udall but 50 million worth of buying votes."
Deleteyeah you kinda did. He may spend up to 50 million is what your link says. But then maybe he won't. The Koch's will come close to that just here in NC. They have spent 15 million dollars against a candidate with so weak of a primary challenge that it was comical. Thom Tillis the NC speaker of the house is her November opponent. He needs all the help he can get after he spearheaded the destruction of our education system.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/06/10/1305844/-Thom-Tillis-the-Stupid-it-Hurts
He is also having trouble with his conservative credentials because he is the establishment guy, He now calls himself a compassionate conservative, sound familiar lou.
The Koch brothers donated 25 million dollars to the United Negro College Fund.
ReplyDeletefunny how they made a big deal of this but remain silent on the 44 million they have given to try to buy the US Senate.
DeleteBut that's good William at least some of their money will be put to a good legitimate cause.
But William that's how the bogeyman works. Do something good to hide that which is questionable. Doesn't impress me at all. Just like the sneaky snakes they are. They will have spent nearly that much to try to defeat a single senate candidate here in NC.
Send Kay some money Rick. It's your right. You even bitch when people do the right thing in your view. Truly pathetic.
DeleteWilliam If they did it cause they cared it would be one thing. It is merely a smoke screen.
DeleteP.S. I already did send Kay some money. I takes all of NC to fight the outsiders trying to control our representation.
DeleteGood for you ric, don't you feel absolutely whole! You probably didn't really care about Kay, you probably like the Koch's did it as a smoke screen.
DeleteZuckerberg gave 100M to the Newark NJ school system. Was that a smoke screen also? Maybe he did it because he cares about the children. Maybe the Koch's care about the children too.
Get over yourself. Just because the Koch's don't agree with your views doesn't make them any less patriotic citizens.
Zuckerberg isn't out trying to buy American.
DeleteWhat exactly did the Koch,s buy with their 25M donation to the United Negro College Fund?
