Libya says 'new elements' in killing of US ambassador
Benghazi (Libya) (AFP) - Libya's
internationally recognised parliament said Tuesday it has uncovered
"new elements" behind the 2012 assassination of the US ambassador when
the American consulate was stormed in eastern city Benghazi.
"I
have been tasked today with leading a team of inquiry," Tareq Saqar
al-Jeruchi, deputy head of the parliament's security and defence
committee, told AFP.
He said
the team had "new elements on the real perpetrators of the attack" and
would work closely with the FBI and Congressional commissions of
inquiry, although he did not elaborate on the identities of the
assailants.
A Libyan parliamentary delegation is to travel to the United States for consultations with members of Congress, Jeruchi said.
Christopher
Stevens, the ambassador, and three other Americans were killed in the
September 11, 2012 attack on the consulate that was said at the time to
be the work of jihadist group Ansar al-Sharia, which Washington has
branded a "terrorist" organisation.
US special forces seized a
Libyan national, Ahmed Abu Khattala, as a chief suspect in a 2014 raid
near Benghazi and handed him over to American judicial authorities.Libya has been run by two governments and two parliaments since August, when an Islamist-backed militia alliance overran the capital Tripoli.
The government recognised by the international community fled to the country's far east and set up in the city of Tobruk.

Last fall, during the run-up to the 2014 midterm elections, Jarrett was heard to complain bitterly that the Clintons were turning congressmen, senators, governors and grassroots party members against Obama by portraying him as an unpopular president who was an albatross around the neck of the party.
Jarrett was said to be livid that most Democrats running for election refused to be seen campaigning with the president. She blamed the Clintons for marginalizing the president and for trying to wrest control of the Democratic Party away from Obama.
“Obama and Valerie Jarrett will go to any lengths to prevent Hillary from becoming president,” a source close to the White House told me. “They believe that Hillary, like her husband, is left of center, not a true-blue liberal.”

William I went to the site you quoted and there is no page available!. Not to worry as I was able for the first time ever to see the parent of the article you quote. A full page of articles beating the conservative drum and denigrating the opposition. William mate, I have always been prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt; this rubbish however is not horse droppings, it is pure sewerage outflow. Where is the credibility of followers of the "CONSERVATIVE REPORT”?. guess like me, many Republicans cringe when they read what is allegedly a publication for those on the right.

Gowdy won't stop until the facts are fully vetted. I have concern for dead Americans. I don't blame you for less interest viewing from afar. DeleteNo you don't. You have concern for political gain. Educated people can come to different conclusions on a great many things even when they read the same information. It continues to amaze me, however, that for certain segment of America, they are so fervently attached to their views that they have to claim everyone who disagrees is being duped by the mainstream media propaganda.
