  1. Grayson, though, was unapologetic and defended his Ku Klux Klan comparison.

In a written statement provided to FoxNews.com, he cited a litany of examples where the "Tea Party" attacked President Obama by citing his race, including the recurring claims that he is a Kenyan and Muslim "despite all evidence."

The statement, as an example, included a doctored image of Obama in tribal garb, one of many offensive images of the president from the bowels of the Internet.

"One could go on and on, because there is overwhelming evidence that the Tea Party is the home of bigotry and discrimination in America today, just as the KKK was for an earlier generation. If the shoe fits, wear it," Grayson said.

Grayson has a history of inflammatory comments. During the debate over the health care law, he infamously said Republicans want Americans to "die quickly."

He was defeated in 2010, but returned to Congress in 2012.

  2. Jennifer Burke, national outreach director of TheTeaParty.net, called the email "deplorable," CNN reported.

"As a black tea party activist, I could say that there's nothing more offensive than equating the tea party with the Ku Klux Klan," Burke said.

"The hate speech uttered by sitting congressman Alan Grayson is deplorable, even by the low levels reached in recent years when Democrats routinely call us racists and suicide bombers."

  3. I read this the other day and thought, "There goes Alan again". Mr. Grayson is well known as a loose cannon who will tell any group he thinks he can get votes from anything he thinks they want to hear. Not unknown for desperate politicians.

    1. DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said she is “disappointed in the use of that imagery” with regards to a controversial fundraising email sent by Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson that compared the tea party to the Ku Klux Klan.

“Obviously I am disappointed in the use of that imagery. Both sides need to dial back that kind of rhetoric and look to bring more civility into politics,” Wasserman Schultz said in a statement.

      Disappointed Debbie? Really?

  4. The Tea Party want's NO TAXES what so ever. I guess that means we have to let our roads fall apart, let medicare and Social Security collapse, get rid of all aid to disaster victims, not have a military, a space program, colleges doing research, disease control and research, the National Guard, border patrols and security..............

    1. As has been stated over and over again navy the Tea Party is not against government. The Tea Party supports the limited government outlined in our Constitution.

Exageration makes you look like a low information voter. If you support what Grayson said be man enough to stand up and say it.

    2. Are you aware navy that our government has doled out 3.7 trillion dollars in welfare over the past five years of the Obama administration?

3.7T of your hard earned tax dollars. A percentage of those tax payers are Tea Party supporters.

      1773-2009 Grayson is a disgrace.

  5. We saw that and filed it under 'reprehensible.' Has there been any comment yet from our Dear Leader on this?

    1. A very cute image by Hayes. The twenty or so viewers of MSNBC probably wouldn't get the joke.
