Carson’s cash

Before Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson was vying for votes from members of Christian organizations, he was charging them tens of thousands of dollars for speeches. As Politico writes, Carson brought in nearly $2 million delivering inspirational speeches to faith-based groups including Christian high schools and pregnancy centers in 2014. A Politico analysis of his financial disclosure form showed that four of his five most lucrative speeches were at such Christian venues. His speaking fees varied widely, from $12,320 to $48,500, according to the disclosures.

    1. "Hillary Rodham Clinton and former president Bill Clinton earned in excess of $25 million for delivering 104 speeches since the beginning of 2014, a huge infusion to their net worth as she was readying for a presidential bid."

    3. Actually, since Rick and I are liberals, I think it's safe to say that we are not afraid of successful black men.

    4. We all realize that Dr. Carson stands no chance of being nominated, but we continue to pretend he does because it's politically correct to do so. Isn't that ironic?

    5. What if Dr. Carson ends up on the ticket as a VP candidate and pulls 20% of the black vote to the GOP.

      Game, set, match.

Perhaps wishful thinking that people would nominate a person that is not a politician.

    7. Max, Rick, a laughable comment.

Not in a thousand years would either of you ever vote for Carson.

If Carson were nominated and chose a female VP, not in a thousand years would you vote for the back man and woman.

      A different type of racism.

    8. Only because they are republicans lou doesn't matter the skin color or the gender. But Lou the real reason I wouldn't vote for Carson is that he lacks experience and he is way to far right for my tastes.

    9. "Experience" in what ric? Lieing, cheating, and stealing?

    10. Oh I don't know, if I wanted to entertain myself, I could vote in the Republican primaries and vote for a guy like Carson.

  2. Ben Carson has a record of lies as long as your arm. Check it out, 67% False and 33% mostly false if all the statements examined:

    1. Thanks for the info Mick but William won't read it. Experience William in executive management. He is a doctor what has he ever run? This is a fair question as it is the same one that you asked of Obama. We tried that experiment and it wasn't all that great. We need an experienced executive to run our executive branch. And a little bit of political experience doesn't hurt.

    2. I suggest Micky and Ricky google politifact bias. According to fact checkers of the fact checkers politifact has a nine to one ratio of Repubs telling lies versus DEM's. Highly improbable. Pretty stupid in fact if you believe anything they print.

    3. Well, each Politifact rating is backed by a detailed explanation of how it was arrived at. You can read those and make up your own mind if they are biased or not. Every politician who is nationally known is represented, along with many pundits and news people. Obama even has his own category. Of all the politicians I have looked up I have yet to find a single one who is lie free, Democrat or Republican.

    4. They make a living by selling fact checking. Other fact checkers have pointed out this nine to one ratio. Does a nine to one ratio make sense to you mick? Are republicans nine to one more dishonest than democrats.

I call it crap on my own bullshit meter.
