Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage

Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage

Karl Rove stunned a conference when he suggested Hillary Clinton may have brain damage.
Onstage with Robert Gibbs and CBS correspondent and “Spies Against Armageddon” co-author Dan Raviv, Rove said Republicans should keep the Benghazi issue alive.
He said if Clinton runs for president, voters must be told what happened when she suffered a fall in December 2012.
The official diagnosis was a blood clot. Rove told the conference near LA Thursday, “Thirty days in the hospital? And when she reappears, she’s wearing glasses that are only for people who have traumatic brain injury? We need to know what’s up with that.”
Rove repeated the claim a number of times to the audience. Clinton’s rep said, “Please assure Dr. Rove she’s 100 percent.”
Despite Rove’s claims, then-Secretary of State Clinton was discharged from New York Presbyterian Hospital after spending three days undergoing treatment for a potentially life-threatening blood clot.

She was seen walking out of the Manhattan hospital for another series of tests but returned to the hospital shortly thereafter. She needed more tests related to her condition, the AP reported, citing unnamed officials.

Clinton, weakened by a stomach virus, fell in her Washington, DC, home in December 2012 and sustained a concussion. Her doctors said a blood clot had formed behind her right ear in the space between her brain and skull.
A spokesperson for Clinton added, “Karl Rove has deceived the country for years, but there are no words for this level of lying.”
As for her health, “She is 100 percent. Period.”

  1. Perhaps Hillary's best choice for VP might just be Dr. Ben Carson, neurosurgeon.

    1. William, appointing anyone to the role of VP is a form of punishment, so I think she should get Karl Rove. Payback time.

  4. If there is evidence that todays politics are permeated with mean spirited people who resort to personal attacks instead of policy differences, this is it. The special glasses Hillary wears are no evidence of impaired mental function.

    1. If it were just mean spirited attacks, that would be one thing. What makes it so much worse is that there are people willing to believe this stuff. I have to admit that it still baffles me greatly about why Republicans fear a Hillary White House. Do they think she will be able to outmaneuver them in a manner Obama hasn't been able to?

    2. Rove claimed on Fox News that he never said she had brain injury. What he said was that she wore the kind of glass that people with serious brain injury wear.

    3. Karl is in full out Jeb Bush offensive mode.

    4. Yep, and sums up how things are done in American politics today. You can endlessly infer something and then factually deny you ever stated the conclusion that everyone came to while listening to you. I just saw them roll that bit while I was having some lunch. The beauty is that Rove has now become the racist uncle who, although he is kind of a complete asshole, manages to maintain just enough personality and jocularity to keep from being shunned. He can say as much crazy shit about Clinton as he wants to and he will continue to rake in dollars despite wasting literally tens of millions of dollars.

    5. How did the term racist enter this discussion? Sexist maybe, but racist?

Well, perhaps you have a point Max. After all, Ms. Rodham's husband was our first black president.

Question, who is the bigger sexist? Karl or Billy?

    6. Figure of speech William, nothing more. I could have used abrasive, foul mouthed, sexist ,etc to describe the uncle that most families have. I suppose I revert to racist because I have an uncle who is a racist asshole who, surprisingly, is a staunch Republican who never passes up a chance to call Obama the N word.

    7. Say what you mean Max. Equating Rove to your racist uncle is out of bounds.

    8. So it's ok for Saint Karl to plant the implication into the public discussion that Clinton is brain damaged but Max referring to Rove as the nation's racist uncle is somehow way over the line?

      Why?

    9. right, and your perpetual labeling of me as a Marxist is in bounds? Karl Rove is the ideological love child of Lee Atwater and Saul Alinski. Calling Rove a racist would actually be a step up.

    10. Quote one racist statement the Rove has ever made.

    11. Billy C stated today that it took Hillary six months to get over her concussion, that's serious. That deserves inquiry. She is the presumptive demo nominee after all. Every concussion and blot clot affects the brain. Especially at her advanced age.

    12. Show me where I called Rove a racist? That's the point William, that's how this bullshit political game works. Infer something and then deny you said it when people state the conclusion you want them to come to.

    13. "the beauty is that Rove has now become the racist uncle,,," (see above)
      Max Yasgur

Perhaps you're the one with brain damage Max.

  5. Why would anyone in their right or left mind care what Karl Rove says or thinks?

It's all about money, life style, ask Al Gore.

    1. People care because it can't be denied that Rove has real power, which is to say that he has access to a lot of money and therefore has the power to make a lot of candidates afraid. I can't think of anyone on the left who can remotely be compared to Rove. You can't rebut everything he says, but if you are a serious Democrat candidate for any office that Rove also has an eye on, you can't ignore him.

  7. The glasses Rove refers to are routine for people having visual problems following concussions. She no longer wears them.

  8. Final thought: Rove is sending a message to Clinton. If you decide to run, this campaign is going to be no holds barred, full out war. Nothing personal is out of bounds. So you had better have skin of iron and nerves of steel.

    1. She has tough skin and nerves but above all else she has Bill. Make no mistake he is still that charismatic ex President that has an approval rating of 55%. That is equal to the Pope's.

  9. Anybody who seriously decides to run best be ready for a no holds barred cage match.

Last election we heard about dogs strapped to car roofs, and Presidents eating dogs. Concussion is just a warm up, and business is as usual in the fine world of politics.

    1. your inequitable, racist slip is showing.

    2. Racist? How can I be racist when I'm a Native American and Hillary is white?

I'm actually doubly protected in that A: a minority such as myself cannot be racist by definition and B: it is impossible to express racism toward a white person

      These are your rules, buddy.

    3. you are about as American Indian as I am. Whoops I actually do have American Indian in me so you are probably less. Anyone who thinks that racism cannot be against whites also is well........ an imbecile. Dumbass that was the inequitable part concerning Hilary, the racist part was the low bar set now of the presidency.

  11. Why is it the fall back for the last 5 years is if you disagree your a racist.

Brought to you by the most divisive president ever.

    Echoed by his minions.

  12. Got some Indian in you, do ya? Thats cooI. What two consenting adults do behind closed doors is none of my business.

I made a statement that was not specifically about a particular presidency. In my mind, it was regarding the trend in the presidency. Since Clinton really. He gave the office it's first real black eye. Even Nixon wasn't as bad because he had the good sense to resign.

Your mind jumped to attributing the fact that Obama is a sack of crap to his race completely on its own and then you deflected that on to me.

And the really good part here: Your questioning of my heritage. It's just too much.

I guess there is some difference between thinking whites can be discriminated against and actually vocalizing it. I can't see in to your peoples' minds. I can't squint that small.
