Why is it the Democrats (Rick) scream instead of telling us what you won't do, tell us what you will do.  (Rick as you previously stated you would never vote for a non democrat)  Why do you care?  Just want to hammer away at the opposing party?

Where's the beef?  Why don't you ask the same of your own party?

Bama or Hilly could nuc Texas and you would justify their actions.  While many of the rights candidates are unacceptable at least the right offer options while the left has Hillary or Hilly or possibly Clinton.  The left has many potential candidates (Jim Webb) yet they remain in hiding afraid of the Clinton machine.

"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." - John F. Kennedy

Perhaps it's time for the people on the left to go back to their past.

  1. “How can we love our country and not love our countrymen; and loving them, reach out a hand when they fall, heal them when they’re sick, and provide opportunity to make them self-sufficient so they will be equal in fact and not just in theory?” said Ronald Reagan.

Lou it has been the right that has bitched for 7 years but yet has come up with no solid solutions for anything. Yeah I know Harry Reid blocked all your jobs bills. Well it's been 6 months and I haven't seen one jobs bill produced yet. If it is the partisan crap you all are known for yeah Obama will veto it but thus far you haven't given him the chance. Come on Louman all I heard was wait until we are in control. Well you are except for the last step and you have produced absolutely nothing for the good of the country as promised.

    1. LOL. Who runs the Senate minority? Who filibusterers bills today?

and you have produced absolutely nothing for the good of the country as promised.

You are correct, I pay far less in taxes than 6 years ago. I no longer employ 7 people and pay their wages and half their SS not to mention the insurance and other costs of employees. So you are right when it comes to ME.

As to the Repub's and the Dem's they are essentially the same. You are correct the R's bitched and moaned about the excessive spending and then gave us more spending.

Get it yet? Neither party are worthy of the American people yet they are re-elected time and time again.

    2. Rick, nice quote from Ronnie, it no longer applies as when Ronnie was president people still had pride in themselves and providing for themselves and their families. That is nothing but a footnote in history.

America has increasingly moved away from a nation of self-reliant individuals, where civil society flourishes, toward a nation of individuals less inclined to practicing self-reliance and personal responsibility.

Never before in our history have so many demanded so much from government and have been unwilling to provide for them selves. People stay at home and collect benefits instead of working as government makes it easy to do so. We allow millions of illegals that do work that Americans could easily do instead collect benefits. We pay for both ends of that problem, the people collecting benefits and the illegals in the US.

Government programs not only crowd out civil society, but too frequently trap individuals and families in long-term dependence, leaving them incapable of escaping their condition for generations to come. Rebuilding civil society can rescue these individuals from the government dependence trap.

This rise in government dependence and the ensuing debt happened despite the nation undergoing an economic recovery after the economic collapse of 2008 and 2009. The United States has reached the point at which it must reverse the direction of both trends or eventually face economic and social collapse.

    3. Of course lou you would shrug off that your boy felt the same as many democrats today.

    4. Sorry rick but I have no boy or girl.

None in the field are worthy of my vote.

  2. To be fair Lou, neither party, or their majority base, have a shortage of people who believe that simply bitching about the other party is an educated opinion. The criticism against Hillary's alleged machine blocking other candidates has some validity, but you tell me the odds of process of the Republican party allowing a moderate candidate to state their views. Romney is a moderate, but he was no less handcuffed during the primary than any Democrat might be. I thought Paul Ryan's plan for America was bullshit, and it had no chance of ever getting passed, but it was something. Since then, we've pretty much just had a lot of votes to repeal Obamacare.

I haven't watched a lot of Hillary yet and won't even bother until debates start. Quite honestly, I really don't care what she has to say as I don't expect her to utter a peep I haven't heard before. At best, I think the Democrats can offer only a few things, 1) try to stop the bleeding with our horrible trade policies and continued financing of wall street bonuses 2) try to actually target breaks for small business. Of course, the minute they do this, some fucking asshole working for goldman will figure out a way to exploit it, but for awhile, it might actually help out 3) present an alternative to the mouth breathers who want to remain endlessly at war. I can't and don't expect anything more and even this will not happen

    1. 1) try to stop the bleeding with our horrible trade policies
Like the Repub's they folded like a cheap deck of cards.

      2. try to actually target breaks for small business.
That would be a good thing however not likely to happen.

      3. the mouth breathers who want to remain endlessly at war.
Seems like we are destined to continue down this path of destruction.

What I would like to see:
      1. Seal the border.
Offer those that are here illegally a work permit with an expiration date then they go home. Refusal to leave when caught immediate deportation and no chance to return.
      2. End the anchor baby amendment.
      3. Prosecute/fine businesses that hire illegals.
      4. For those able to work, they work, the benefits continue. Refusal to work ends benefits.
      5. End the ACA and institute a catastrophic insurance plan only. No freebies.
      6. Term limits for congress.
      7. Change out corporate taxation system to the territorial system.
      8. Revisit the Free Trade Agreements and rework them into fair trade agreements. Imports=exports of tariffs apply to equalize wage price differences.
      9. Change government pension plans to 401K plans. Including the Prezzy and congress as well as state and local governments. Parity with business.
      etc., etc.

  3. Iouman, as an independent who votes for candidates on perceived qualifications, not party line, I can affirm that both parties are guilty as charged. Why not pick on William too?
