Which TV Network Leads in Diversity Programing?

To some here the word "diversity" is an obscenity used by liberals and progressives to the detriment of us real Americans.  Well folks, guess which network leads in diversity programming. Give up?
Here's the answer, my favorite network, Fox.

  1. I would have said that without reading your link. And good for FOX but what's the point. FOX News is still biased the way that MSNBC is. FOX T V I like sometimes, Football, Baseball, and most of all NASCAR. Oops the secret is out you can be a progressive and still be a motorhead by golly.

  2. While simplifying for brevity and not meant to overshadow the complexity, I have said for decades that we do not have a race problem in our country; we have a conflict of culture. It is in the misunderstanding of that difference where the problem lies. Of course race makes those cultural divides harder to overcome but, left to itself, race will dissolve if cultural differences are allowed to find their own path to understanding.

Diversity is not bad… having it crammed down your throat by the government is. Some people, I will admit, hold race as a barrier but that is an ignorant group because if the physical difference disappeared what would remain is cultural and social differences that resolve themselves over time.

The US has had cultural friction for the entirety of its existence. Every new wave of immigrants, polish, german, Italian and Russian created this friction, but rather than overt action to force change, these groups were left to get on with their lives and eventually through business and social interaction, barriers fell. The starkest of these is with the Chinese. They weren’t forced to live in white neighborhoods nor were they forced to hire white people in their businesses or vis a verse. They lived in their own community and dispensed justice and education, within the standing laws provided by the constitution and over time business came together, boys and girls came together and communities grew together… naturally… organically. That doesn’t mean that there still isn’t a place where Chinese can go and live among their own culture should they choose.

Progressive attempts via government intervention, to force culturally different groups together only cause friction and resentment. A resentment that lasts much longer than if people are left to solve their problems naturally. If the approach to integration does not reflect the local culture, there will be friction. The government can and does have a part to play in cultural integration. I for instance was a G.I. Brat. I went to schools that had to be integrated. I became best friends with a black girl before I even found out that blacks and whites were suppose to hate each other. I grew up that way and because no one was forced to join the military and live that lifestyle, integration was a voluntary situation. There was friction from time to time but it wasn’t tolerated from anyone… BUT, if you couldn’t deal with it, you had the option to finish your hitch and go back home, to your community and your culture. Any government job that uses taxpayer money must be integrated and of course, just like the military, participation is voluntary. The government has tried to extend that success in private life by integration laws…. The problem of course is that there is no room for the word ‘voluntary’ in that kind of forced integration.

While it is true that the physical difference presented by race makes overcoming the cultural prejudice more difficult, at the end of the day, the differences that separate us are the differences in our way of life. A person who likes rock will find it difficult to hang out with people deeply imbedded in a country culture but someone who likes rap will go to concerts with like minded people regardless of color…. But force a country person and a city person or a rapper and a classical music aficionado to live next door to each other and you will have problems… leave them to find neighbors that they agree with and soon, they might not live next door to each other but they just might share recipes and do business over time. You can't force friendships and you can't legislate REAL harmony.

Multiculturalism as it is currently enforced in the west is a failure. We see it in France; we recently saw it in one of the most tolerant countries in the world Sweden; we saw it last summer in Britain… and it doesn’t even have to be about race or ethnic origin… just different ways of thinking.
