Up 70% is still better than Reagan who cranked it up twice that on his watch. Starting with Reagan in 1980, William, there has not been a period where Republicans have shown an ounce of restraint.....except when Democrats have been in power. Republicans enlist the support of people like yourself, kinda the same way Democrats enlist support of black people, and once they get in power, they do something completely different.
It's funny I found this article http://zfacts.com/p/318.html because it says everything I have believed for years. A massive debt is the best thing that could happen for Republicans because it gives them cover to go batshit crazy and take a machete to social programs that make them lose their freaking minds. You like the stunts of shutdowns, most of America does not.
Here's an article from RedState http://www.redstate.com/2014/12/02/irresponsible-unpatriotic-18-trillion-national-debt/ Take a look at the budget deficit numbers starting at 2009. Anyone who is honest will admit that 2009 is Bush just as 2017 will be Obama. The highest deficit in history belonged to a Republican. From there, the deficit has shrank every year. Indeed, it's not enough for my liking either. But, going back to Reagan now, we have a well established history. Under Republicans, budget deficits grow, under Democrats they shrink. This is a fact just as it is a fact the debt is 18 trillion and it's up 7 trillion under Obama. How many days was congress on break this year? A LOT
Okay first shutting down the government did not get the repubs their recent electoral victory. But spin it how you must William. Ask Mitch McConnell why it happened. He had been waiting two years for all the stars to align. Now he will preside over the next two years of the "horrifying stupidity" you so long for. Thankfully the dems will return in 2016..........tick tick tick.....................
Up 70% under Obama
ReplyDeleteFederal tax intake reaches a record level
McConnell and Boehner have no balls if they don't cut spending
Cruz and the Tea Party shut the government down 13 months ago and that lead to the biggest election results in 90 years
Put the budget with the spending cuts on Obama's desk and watch him shut the government down

On what do you base your statement?
