Buy!! A gun, you're going to need it.

Buy has been the shout from the left since Obama bought the last election.  But wait, sell seems to be creeping into the mix.  The healthcare law has proven to be such an albatross that even Pelosi and Biden are beginning to wish they had read the bill before they voted on it.  Oh and guns... What a mess the Dems are making of that!

The markets for metals are crashing, we've been attacked on our own soil again, hmmm, sounds familiar doesn't it?  It seems that rounds of golf and endless rock concerts doesn't seem to scare off the the assholes trying to kill us.

Why not execute some of them, like the Fort Hood shooter, why not gather up a bunch of them at Gitmo and instead of water boarding them just take them out and shoot them, he'll that's what they do to our troops.

Obama needs to understand that these are cold blooded murders, not just thugs with guns, they have the Koran to back them, doesn't Obama get that message?  God is stronger than hollow words from a TelePrompTer, right?  When will stop reducing our presence in the Middle East and start throwing some Tomahawks at them, remember Ben Gazzi?  I do...  And what did the President do, gave them F-15 fighter jets...

Was up wit dat?

It seems that our leadership has intentionally led us down this road, when will they lead us out...??

  1. I've had an uneasy feeling lately. Between the market manipulation and who knows what else, then this mess.

    1. I have had the same feeling Live. In CA they were talking about a surplus (voters okayed a .005 sales tax increase) just after we were in the hole a few billion... all the while some agencies were finding a few million here and there.....

Something is going to happen soon and I am willing to bet that it will be by fiscal year. To come out as say that we are looking at another deficit after all the BS - just do not think they have the balls...

  2. ObamaCare - will be much more contractionary than I originally thought.

Originally I thought businesses could minimize the affects of ObamaCare by managing hours, headcount etc... I was wrong.

Turns out that everything is accretive. So if you have 100 employees working 15 hours a week, that's the same as 50 employees working 30 hours a week so you are subject to ObamaCare.

What if you have several different businesses with their own incorporations? If the sum of your employees adds up to 50emps working 30 hours, then they fall under ObamaCare even if one of the businesses only has 10 employees.

Also, If you provide health insurance and it costs the employee 9.5% of his/her salary then you are fined $3000 just as if you provided zero coverage.

Also, the $3000 fine per employee can not be written off as an expense.

The end result: companies can only manage health care costs by downsizing their companies.

Finally, I read today that states that opt out of exchanges will be forced in to the system within 3 years due to onerous penalties applied to businesses.

Not that it affects my spouse's business, but out of curiosity, how certain are you of the above points?

      Thanks.

    2. I pulled all of those statistics from an article that I can't find. But this comes pretty close. Look under fulltime equivalents. http://www.agc.org/cs/advocacy/health_care/employer_mandate

  3. Nice post TD. So we should just start taking people from gitmo and just line them up and shoot them. Ever see the movie "The Holocaust" back in the 70's?
This is the victim mentality that gives rise to whack job leaders to do what Hitler did. You will forever blame the left for anything you feel is wrong with this country and your life, but the undeniable truth is that we have created much of our own misery.

Nobody on 9/11 who died or those who died in subsequent attacks deserved to die, they did not personally do anything to those who killed them. Our government though has done a lot of cloak and dagger shit for decades, such as back Osama Bin Laden, that has come back to bite us. As for our economy, we have given away just as much free shit to rich people as we have allegedly the poor. Blame who you want and relish your role of victim.

    1. No Max it is not the same. All those at Gitmo are folks that killed our folks, I'm a bit surprised how naive you act and how foolishly you ignore the threat we live with every day, THINK BOSTON for Gods sake. These folks are cold blooded murderers. I know all about Bin Laden, we trained him to fight the Russians.

If we did start executing the bad guys they'd get the message, gutless folks like you can't or won't recognize we are in a war and we are losing it. The Obamas of the world rose up using the same tools of terror that Bin Laden, the words of criminal intent, the thoughts of destroying this country, from within.

Obama is doing a fine job of destroying our country, keep supporting the left buddy it won't be long before Big Brother will be coming for folks like me, the defacto pseudo socialists running the Democratic Party are coming out of the closet every day, emboldened by the greatest orator since Hitler or Stalin, our President.

    2. Brandt, despite your epithets and name calling, you know for a fact there is a fair amount of things we agree on wholeheartedly, especially the Fed. To your comment about being gutless, respectfully, fuck off. I've never taken any government benefits, I served in the military, and I get up and go to work everyday. It is one thing to disagree about things, but you and most others here no longer even bother to respond with any level of respect. I've had my days of launching angry flames at you and William, but I've also spent a lot of time trying to express myself without the name calling.

Though I may still come back and chime in, there really isn't any point anymore. I give you credit for trying to preserve something from MW, but it is basically just becoming the some dumping ground of hate that MW was. In response to constantly being called a communist and worshiper of left wing icons, or being called out by the queen of grammar, it's becoming hard to post without being just as big a jaggoff. There isn't any rational discussion to be had here and that's too bad.

    3. "Rational discussion"? Rational discussions would be a balanced budget amendment, rational would be bills with one subject, rational would be having a press core that isn't one sided, rational would be us having a beer together lamenting the demise of our country, the failure of well intended programs like food stamps, no longer a stop gap but a planned life style. Rational would be having a leader that would act like the populace, not a rich asshole that throws parties and thinks he's better than the rest of us. You can tell it by the tone of his voice, he's stuck up, unable to relate to the common man or woman and unable to lead by example.

Somehow those in need need to have "accountable" access to help, the illegals need to become legal, the climate has to be set aside until we have a balanced budget, we can throw away money when we have an access in the kitty, not continue to choke off the coal industry while we flush millions down the drain studying fish.

I'm not so unreasonable, however I was brought up in the military, Air Force brat, met Generals that fought and flew in WWII, my ancestors fled England in 1634, I've been fighting for real freedoms all my life, as it's in my blood. However, if you strike I strike back, if you cheat me I will call you out and if you harm my family (Americans) I claim the right to hurt you back. I'm charitable, even as I suffer the worst financial moments of my life. Clearly you are no commie, however I ponder how you can not question some of the paths the current administration is taking, no budget, ever, no accountability for 700 billion in stimulus that failed well beyond any judgement of you or me. The attack on guns instead of a focus on mental illness, the abandonment of the inner city to gangs of youths killing for sport. The lies about Detroit, a failed city, whose fault, the pensions of the employees.. Check into it sometime, Chicago, drugs 500 kids killed every year to keep the gang life going, where is the backbone to stand and be counted instead of cower.

There is no "party" that can solve the problem of the dying morality that the MSM won't speak of anymore, we need to rid ourselves of the private control of our politicians and have all elections funded by public funds only, take the fat cats out of the game.

Finally, there is "rational" discussion taking place here. There is no moderation, we are free to say anything we want here, recently I've taken to not posting links, just blogging. There is no sense in cut and paste, it robs me of my clearly stated message, it's clear that putting up fact after fact won't change even one vote, much less the millions of votes that are bought by the corrupt that wind up in power.

However, we only live about six hours apart and someday we will toast our lives in person, but until that day and until you have taken your last breath don't stop being Max, keep communicating, keep us in your thoughts and always remember that the freedom of speech is the main thing that counts, even when the speech is not what you or I want it to be.

    4. Fair enough, even if I'm not posting here, you have my email and I would always welcome a chance to meet if that ever lined up. The discussion isn't rational when there is name calling involved. You don't like Obama and that's fair enough. In posts, however, you continue to place him and all democrats and the dreaded MSM in the center of the evil in the universe. I'm not buying just as I wasn't buying left wing lunacy about Bush. I hate McConnell and Ryan. Calling them assholes every single time I post is counterproductive and childish. that won't change the world.

Your third para there is meaningful, calling Obama an uppity rich asshole is not. I won't belabor that point anymore. As it stands, I am applying for grad school again as my first app didn't work out and once enrolled come August, I will need be spending quite a bit of time on the books. I likely won't ever be able to not post, and I have to admit the true free speech of this site is something that shouldn't be taken for granted, that you started this is a commendable effort.

      See you round soon

    5. I said he was "stuck up" not "uppity" big difference, huge... I have as many friends of other ethnicities as I do Caucasian, I am not a racist by any stretch... Stuck up is stuck up.

    6. Max,

Good luck on the grad school venture. Full time or part-time? I'm guessing part-time. It gets expensive. Care to share what you're getting into?

  4. Everything is Obama's fault and we should throw away the Constitution and start executing people Pancho Villa style? The loonies are out in force today.
