SheZow

CHILDREN'S NETWORK LAUNCHES TRANSSEXUAL SUPERHERO SHOW

Nothing says “child-appropriate material” quite like gender-bending underage superheroes. At least that’s the theory over atthe Hub, the network co-owned by Discovery and Hasbro, which is trotting out its latest soon-to-be-dud, SheZow. That show follows the adventures of a 12-year-old boy named Guy who uses a magic ring to transform himself into a crime-fighting girl. Yes, you read that correctly. When Guy says the magic words – “You go girl!” – he becomes SheZow, wearing a purple skirt and cape, as well as pink gloves and white boots.

The chief executive of the Hub, who may or may not have been high (and leftist) when she greenlit this project, is Margaret Loesch. Loesch commented, “When I first heard about the show, my reaction was ‘Are you out of your minds?’ Then I looked at it and I thought, ‘This is just funny.’”
The target audience for the Hub is children aged two to eleven.

    3. Whatever happened to Bugs Bunny ! I loved him! and Daffy ... I also liked the Flintstones...

Growing up I also watched some of the old shows like The Dick Van Dyke Show, I Love Lucy, Andy Griffin.....

Notice that they do not have family shows on anymore like The Cosby Show - that was appropriate for all ages...

    4. Boomerang network. It may not be available in CA, but we all watch it as a family on occasion. It's all of the old stuff we watched growing up (and prior), without the need for politics or feminization of men.

On a side note, Bill Cosby should be on every minorities watching/reading list. He did well for himself and understands the culture of dependency that the libs love to exploit.

  2. I have never before agreed with anything posted by "Angie" but there has to be a first time for everything. Our kids (and their parents) always enjoyed the "Road Runner".

TV here was, and still is to some extent, dominated by US shows and the general standard remains appropriate to 10 year olds. Letterman is one which comes to mind as suitable for the vacuous minds to which it is apparently directed. The daily Current Affairs show on CNN once hosted by Jim Lehrer is a notable exception, topical and as far as we can see, even handed. I am particularly appreciative of the segments which provide both sides of the argument and I also appreciate the contributions of the female moderators during these segments.

    Cheers from Aussie

  3. Transgender Navy SEAL 'Warrior Princess' Comes Out

"For years Chris had turned off his sexuality like a light switch and lived as a warrior, consumed with the battle -- living basically asexual. For Chris the other SEALs were brothers and in the man's man warrior lifestyle, even if he had wanted to entertain sexual thoughts, there really was never any time to be thinking too much about sexuality," the book says.
