  1. Just wait until we have control they said. Yea right.

  2. It is no wonder that the Congress has a 15% approval rating. They should be ashamed to show their faces in public.

  3. Less is more. Let them stay home and not spend.

    1. They can't stay home because they have to spend 60% of their work time hitting the lobbyists for money.

  4. It will be interesting (when they're there) watching people who claim to hate government try to govern ...

    1. It's not about governing, it's about limiting governing. 20T in debt for your children and you still don't get it.

    2. Oh I get it.

Actually it should be about effective and efficient governing, which would include limiting spending.

If you're elected to govern, you still gotta govern ...

    3. The country runs better with them out of town. They should restrict their activities to an examination and streamlining of the last 100 years of progressive regulation. The Senate is a reflective body. They should not speak until spoken to.

    4. If congress doesn't show up, things stay as they are, the inertia of the status quo rolls on unabated.

If you believe that government is bloated and inefficient -and everyone here knows you do-that's not gonna change unless it's legislated into efficiency. Who creates the legislation? Congress.

If our representatives were elected to streamline government, they gotta show up and do it.

They need to do the freaking job they were hired to do. Otherwise they're just a bunch of mouthpieces leaching off the taxpayers, more "overpaid" federal employees, paying lip service on some pundit's show, talking about ending government bloat & excess, yet doing nothing to legislate that bloat & excess out of existence.

    5. Uh, anything productive that they might attempt to do, and with this body I doubt anything productive is possible, the dark fellow with the pen will nullify. The world world won't end if McConnell stays the f---- home and get ready to appoint president Clinton's supreme court nominees.
