The RNC has a web site where you can vote on who you would like to see as the next Republican presidential nominee. All of last time's favorites are listed, except Mitt Romney. Here is the link:
what do you figure Mick, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, then like Walker or Rubio, none of which can win on a national scale. To extreme. Gotta run in the center, it is a centrist nation in which we live.
People in Florida like Jeb Bush, a respected former governor, but the Bush name may be too great a stigma. Miami area folks favor Rubio, but his immigration stand may be too liberal for the GOP leadership. Remains to be seen.
he got clobbered because of his fake centrist image. You can't be a radical rightie then move to the center at the last minute and win. If you would take the time to learn about Obama instead of listening to the talking heads and radical right websites, you would know that Obama is also a centrist, yes he is left of Clinton but not radical left. You gotta run in the center
McGovern was a left wing extremist and so had no chance of winning the election. This just reinforces the point that the majority of U.S. voters are centrists. We don't need another McGovern any more than we need another Barry Goldwater. By the way, both of them are dead gotta, as we all will be one day.
Ben Carson is a true intellectual, with more honorary Ph.D.'s than you can shake a stick at. A distinguished neurosurgeon and humanitarian. I would vote for him, but the anti-intellectuals wouldn't, and, unfortunately they seem to be running the current Republican Party.
The best centrist the right has is Christie but he will never get the nomination unless he does the Romney deal of moving back and forth. Of all that are out there I think Rick Santorum will be much stronger this go round if he runs. He may be the guy to beat let's see.

ReplyDeleteYeah because Obama ran as a centrist. Socialized medicine, income redistribution, abdicating position as military world leader. Uh OK.
Mitt Romney ran as a centrist and he got CLOBBERED.

Where is George McGovern when we need him?
