Why is the immigration bill 1000 to 1500 pages long

Can only be one reason, to grant citizenship almost immediately to all illegal aliens.

  1. They make it that long so no one will read it.

  2. There should be zero new legislation until our existing departments are purged of all waste and fraud. ZERO

All appropriation bills put on hold. Not a thought to an increase in the debt limit.

    Nothing, zero, nada,,,

  3. Bills always grow and grow, like Pinnochio's nose. The main reason is pork, pork for the congressmen, pork for their districts and pork for their donors. Add to that the legal mumbo-jumbo they use to cover their rear ends in case of law suits.

  4. So to "hide" the crap they know the American people will not like... then again DC is much more concerned with non-Americans as our home continues to fall apart.

  5. On page 66 of the repackaged bill, the following provision appears:
“CORPORATION FOR TRAVEL PROMOTION.—Sec- 9(d)(2)(B) of the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 (22 U.S.C. 2131(d)(2)(B)) is amended by striking ‘‘For each of fiscal years 2012 through 2015,’’ and inserting ‘‘For each fiscal year after 2012.”
The Travel Promotion Act (TPA) of 2009 allows the Secretary of the U.S. Treasury to spend up to $100 million on promoting travel to specific areas of the country. If the provision Reid and Heller inserted into the proposed immigration reform legislation becomes law, the benefits of the TPA would be extended indefinitely.....

  6. Just read in this morning's paper that latest polls give Congress a 10% approval rating, lowest in history.
