Who is defending Paula Deen ?

After being fired by the Food Network for saying the "N-word", some 20 years ago, Paula Deen's  cook books are selling like hot cakes. And now she is being defended by none other than Rev. Al Sharpton.  Read all about it:

  1. Nigger... there I said it!

I am so tired of the "N word" being whispered and being considered an abomination. Seen an R rated movie lately? You will hear the "F word" (several) times, the "S word", the D word", the "C word", both B words", God's name used in vain. You will also hear references about luid acts and perverted fantasies. Then there is what you will see - soft porn in my opinion.
YET the "N word" is a sacrilege?!?! Really!!!
What about ALL other races and derogatory comments made about women and even men....

If you are black you are not entitled to a world free of insults or hurt feelings for that is life.

  2. Should Dean be fired? I feel it is extreme but a show has the right to renew or not renew for whatever reason. Of course Dean's fans have a right to support her.

  3. How about Homie? A word is just a word. This board is full "crackers", and I am fine with that. The PC police are out of control. When I worked for a distribution business back in the late '90's, I used the word "boy", as in let me tell you boys something............

A little black man pulled a knife and said, "Never call me a boy".

That's when I realized that colored folk will never give up on the slavery issue and want more handouts.

Sigh, so nice to live in such a neat a tidy world.

  4. I don't know enough about her or the situation to tell if she was insensitive or racist. But I do know that I've never liked her. I do like Giada and Giada married a broke ass nerdy cameraman. Sigh...

Maybe you can hitch your wagon to McCain's daughter. She's not as scrawny as Giada, but she seems like a lot less of a bitch.

  5. PC police are indeed overzealous and I agree with Sharpton. Dredging up shit from 20 years ago is ridiculous. As for the food network firing her, that is a business decision and well within their right to make. The are about selling food and products and when one of their chefs becomes a controversy, it's a distraction. Ultimately, Dean will probably get a show on Fox, it seems like good fit.

  6. Rev Jackson restored himself after Hymietown.
Tiger Woods endorsements have returned. Just win baby.
    Jailbird Martha Stewart still sells.

On the other hand fried chicken derailed Fuzzy Zoeller.
Sergio Garcia is struggling with his own fried chicken statement.

Chick Fil A thrives after it's CEO Same sex marriage controversy.
Michael Vick returns from his dog days.

    Paula Deen? Who know's?
