Pro-abortion protesters drown out “Amazing Grace” with chants of “Hail Satan”

I admit I was skeptical of this story when it came across my e-mail yesterday evening.  Generally speaking, stories that are either too good or too bad to be true aren’t. Even at the beginning of this short clip, it’s nearly impossible to make out what the pro-abortion protesters are yelling — at least until the camera swings around, and a young woman helpfully boosts the message.
Classy:
It’s been a very interesting day at the Texas State Capitol.  Cahnman’s Musings hasn’t been following the hearing.  Instead, we’ve been participating in the surrounding events.  LetTexasSpeak has been doing a live broadcast from the rotunda where women have been sharing their abortion related testimonies.  The pro-abortion crowd has responded with repeated chants of “hail Satan.”  It’s taken us all day to get a video recording, but here it is … For the record: They’ve been doing this all day, this is just the first time we caught it on video.
CNN Express also picked it up at the time, although it’s unclear whether this made it to broadcast (via Twitchy):

A lot of evil is done in the name of what is simple.

  2. Hummmm..... Hail Satin.... sounds like a bunch of religious zealots to me...

No, of course its not a religion... its a philosophy!

But I do agree that this,in part, is exactly the way a country's moral direction should be decided.... not by laws but with people being able to talk to, live around, serve and hire those who they agree and align with.... If you don't like a pro-life person, send them away from your store, your community and don't hire them.... Interestingly enough though, while a liberal might jump at the chance to do that now... it wouldn't have worked out for them throughout most of the history of the US....

    1. To go there and sing Amazing Grace is directly out of Saul Alinski's rules for radicals. While I doubt the Republicans inside the state senate had a direct hand in planning this, the outcome is perfect for them. By marching into the crowd of pro choicers and singing amazing grace, they have masterfully pulled the pro choice crowd into a response that can be used against them in ridicule while creating a "victim" status for the grace choir.

The current law of the land is that abortion is legal. Republicans are enacting as many local laws as possible to negate federal law. We are a nation of laws, but the current Republican mantra is that they should only have to obey laws they agree with.

TS, I want to make sure I understand you correctly. Are you saying we will all be better off if we associate only with people we 100% agree with while shunning everyone we don't agree with?

    2. Pick and choosing only the laws that one wants to obey - now that is an Alinsky tactic.....

    3. Any chance you could point to where Alinski said this? If the conservative world hadn't made such a big deal about him, I would never have read anything written by him. I only read rules for radicals just to see what the big fuss was about.

Alinski was a shit disturber and historical student of revolution. He also seemed like he was kind of an insufferable asshole, much like I am to most of you. He was not an advocate of what you say here.

  3. The issue of States Right IS a constitutional right. It would be nice to have only those who have read the US Constitution and understand it make comments .. but then we would have no leftist posting here....

And eventually, you would have no posting at all.

  4. Perry and supporters of the 20-week abortion ban have promised to revisit the fight, and next week, with a second special legislative session already under way, legislators in the full Texas House will get the chance to do just that.

And in Washington, Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., will take the lead on a similar proposal banning abortions after 20 weeks nationwide, a spokesman for the senator confirmed this week to CBSNews.com. A similar bill passed the House in June, but the Senate, led by Democrats, is unlikely to advance the measure.
