OMG - The new Egyptian Spin

The new SPIN is that the new "coup" was all planned by Obama and the Egyptian military. That the economy was sabotaged on purpose. That the police disappeared on purpose to incite the people to overthrow the MB. What hogwash!

Yeah right! I'm certain it had nothing to do with women's rights being taken away or with Morsi usurping power from the Egyptian Supreme Court or with the fact that Morsi purged moderates from the military and the legislature.

Egypt was sinking under the MB. There was no money coming in from tourism. The only money coming in was from bribes to the politicians via Qatar. Tahir Square became a hot bed of drug dealing and the police were bribed to look the other way.

The Saudi's, UAE and Kuwait made certain that the Egyptian military new that they had significant backing and that and US aid dropped would be restored by these three governments. The Saudi's are still PO'd at Obama for toppling Mubarak.

What this means now is that the US has lost virtually all influence in the Middle East.


But Obama's core belief if that the world needs a weaker US. That the US acted as an imperialist country. This was all known before he was elected but ignored by the media.

I can't wait for the next 3.5 years.
