  1. Well, shucks, the Egyptians aren't used to democracy, so when Mursi, as Reuters spells it, or Morsi as the U.S. sources spell it, thought when he was elected that he was the ruler and could do what ever he chose. The people, or at least enough of them, thought otherwise. The moral of the story is: democratically elected officials should act for all the people, not just their select clique or party.

    1. Shoot. I had been still typing in June threads and didn't realize you had posted this before I put up my thread on it. Sorry bout that. This isn't just a rejection or Mu(o)rsi, it's a temporary rejection of the Muslim Brotherhood as well.

    3. I agree with you Brian and I have felt for a long time that there is a massive number of Muslims who do not want to live under Sharia law and who basically want much of what we want in this country.

    4. What happens in Egypt should stay in Egypt. Let them sort out their own revolution and democracy.

    5. And then bitch when they choose someone we don't like and complain about what an idiot Obama is for not affecting the outcome?

    6. Kerry should stay on his yacht and Obama should stay on the golf course and both of them should keep their mouths shut.

All we heard for years from our media was Iraq falling into civil war under Bush. Now Egypt is in a civil war. We should let the two sides settle it.
