Syria Update

Now Obama is talking about bombing sorties, not just cruise missiles. He is turning it into a full scale war. Putin WON'T put up with that.

Putin can declare the same thing, says that the chemical weapons use will not be tolerated and therefore the REBELS must be bombed in to oblivion.

Now we have ahole McCain stating that this is a risk-free operation! Yeah and I'm Santa Claus.

Obama is narcissistic and he is out of control. He is willing to kill people to maintain his reputation. He is PISSED at Putin about Snowdin and wants a proxy war with Putin because Obama can't spy on the entire world now. Just 80% of it.

  1. There is a theory out there, that states a crash of the almighty dollar is inevitable, but the government needs a cover story. Syria would be the cover story, the Fed could stop the dollar manipulation and then blame the war for the dollar woes.

  2. I still see NO PROOF that Assad was responsible, directly or indirectly. There still is no proof that insurgents NOT responsible, accident or otherwise.

Being reported that there have been 50 revisions to US attack plans ... (like anybody should really know that but considering this administrations penchant for running at the mouth).

    “I can’t answer that, what we’re seeking.”
    – Gen Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

Well, suh, it's difficult to define an objective when you’ve got 50 different versions on the same idea. Great statement from you at last, maybe keeping your mouth shut instead of deliniating who what where as was disclosed last week...suh.

I see two things on the horizen here:
    a) LBJ’s micromanagement of Viet Nam
    b) Adolf’s micromicromanagement, the only reason he was not assasinated by allied forces, he was our best asset for Germany’s defeat.

The thought that this fking clown running our military scares me almost more than anything else to date – he screws this up and we really are f’d.

  3. My Guess. Assad has changed locations 50 different times. Actually, if he is smart, Assad is on a Russian warship.

  4. I see a surgical strike more like the Bosnia/Serbian strikes that were so successful by President Clinton. Those were opposed by the Republicans if you will all remember back to that time and it ended a similar situation where the Serbians were using ethnic cleansing against civilians. Today, Bosnia and Serbia are living in peace and the world is much safer. Thank you Bill Clinton. USSNJ

  5. Obama "is out of control". Hmmm, what kind of drugs have you been smoking on this article? I do believe that Obama has waited patiently for the do nothing Congress to come back from vacation once again to vote on what to do. Congress(at least the Republicans, would probably wait to declare war until their vacations were over if America was attacked by some enemy. I often wonder how the Republicans ever took us to Iraq so quickly based on their vacation schedule back then. -USSNJ

  6. True mrgottaloveit, but did you know that Bill Clinton took action before the Republicans could vote no on action back then. Look it up. The cowardly GOP almost allowed the ethnic cleansing in Bosnia to destroy a nationality(the Bosnians) -USSNJ

  7. I hope that this hatred of action to come to the aid of the Civilians in Syria is a sign to Israel that we are NOT coming to their aid either. Let Israel defend themselves. I can see that most of you must agree with me here on this issue. In other words, if Iran attacks Israel with any kind of NBC warfare, let's hope the Israelis have enough gas masks to go around. It is time to cut the cord with Israel and it is obvious that Americans do not want to come to the aid of the wackos in the Middle East any longer-including Israel. - USSNJ

    1. So Mr Anonymous just WHO are these wonderful rebel freedom fighters that you want to support?

Al Qaeda's Syrian affiliate is also well supplied as it benefits from the support of Sunni ultra-fundamentalists in the wealthy Gulf states such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Jabhat al-Nusra, which means the "Victory Front," was listed as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department in December and is essentially a splinter organization of al Qaeda in Iraq.

Al-Nusra's military prowess and close ties to al Qaeda make it a potentially serious threat to U.S. interests in the region, and the group has shown it has the ability to conduct massive suicide bombings.

OPS ! Sounds lie trouble to me.

    2. Rojay, good points and I am with you on the rebels. Obviously, there are some very nasty people supporting the rebs in Syria and I agree with you there. The point though is this: do we say NO to the use of Chem weapons, nuke weapons and bio weapons? I believe the rest of the world has a short memory also, especially Great Britain and France, two nations that were nearly wiped out in WWI by the German's use of mustard gas. NBC warfare is scary and if we ignore it here, then Israel will be in real trouble. I don't see a lot of benefit in attacking Syria either, but then, who is next? -USSNJ.

    3. USSNJ,

      Who is next: North Korea?

The issue for me is that as horrific as using WMDs is, it was not upon another country. The terrible way the lives were lost did not make those unfortunate victims any more dead than the Rwandans who were butchered, or the 117,000 other killed in Syria. What national interest is served, beyond Obama saving face (which is arguable for several reasons)?

You referred to the 'cowardly' GOP re the Balkan conflict. Rather a finely-targeted accusation, yes? And that's without arguing about the accuracy. My little bit of research into that history suggests that that specific bit of butchery went on for quite some time, with a lot of hand-wringing, before anything was done. And wasn't that about the time Clinton was impeached?

    4. Rojay, like the American people are saying right now and I must agree with them- let's stay out of the Middle East completely and worry about the good ol USA while the rest of the world kills each other. What say to that? USSNJ

  8. One more thought on WMD, or should I say chemical weapons. When we (The USA) were supporting the Saddam ruled Iraq army during the Iraq/Iran conflict back in the 80's, we supplied Iraq with the chemicals to make gas and also with the satellite information as to where the Iranian army was concentrated. Yes, Ronald Reagan sent Donald Rumsfeld to Iraq to cut a deal with Saddam and the Iraq army wiped out many, many thousands of Iranian soldiers with toxic gas, VX gas I believe. The awful pictures of Iranian soldiers foaming at the mouth made it into Time magazine. We didn't care because we hated the Iranians for their taking over our embassy during the Carter Administration. So that only goes to prove one thing: If you hate someone enough, any way to kill them is ok, just get it over with as soon as possible. USSNJ
