Charles Krauthammer Socks it toTrump
I was surprised this morning to read Charles Krauthammer's opinion article. I think he is exactly right about Trump. Krauthammer is of course a paragon of conservatism, but everyone should pay heed to this warning: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/422864/donald-trump-deportation-republicans

I also read this morning that Trump is gaining in the polls. And as this happens more and more of the other candidates are adopting his nutty ideas.
ReplyDeleteI heard good rationalization about Trump the other day, which is that he is basically pulling in about 25% of the vote from Republicans, and I read it that 75% of the rest of the Republican voters are not behind Trump.
DeleteAs for Krauthammer's piece, I'm not surprised that people like himself can't see how much they have helped to create the possibility of a Trump candidacy.
Krauthammer does support building the great wall, another unfeasible idea which has been around a long time. That idea is also proposed by the other candidates. Modern polling methods which use the internet and robocalls are notoriously inaccurate, so we really don't know how deep the support for trump, or any of the other leading candidates really is. Time will tell.
