If it is agreed by Scotland and England then why shouldn't Scotland be an independent nation. William you cannot even compare Scotland's situation to Crimea. Crimea was part of one country and elected to allegiance to another. Scotland would just like to regain her total independence, not that the English hand is particularly harsh anyway. I am Scottish, but really don't care which way the vote goes. I do however have some ancient ties to William Wallace and Robert de Bruce, the first fighters for Scottish independence a fight they eventually won.
What exactly William, would you like Obama to say? Why does he have to have a comment about every king, queen, premier or prime minister every time that they decide to take a shit. Some things William are really none of our business.
yep The armed forces of the United States will show up on his orders. That is the business of this country. Remembered that was tried 150 years ago with disastrous results, for Texas for the south for the Nation. It wasn't allowed when Texas was 15 years in the Union it certainly won't be now.
Too old my friend but if I were of fighting age and my government called me into service then yes I would. But I admit it would be hard just as it was for the northern soldiers in 1860. To fight brother (by this I don't mean literally brother) in the highly civilized world in which we live would be extremely tough. But yes I would be willing to fight to protect the permanency of this great country. That is the role of the true patriot not this crap you believe it is.
If the Texans don't like being part of the United States, I say, give the state back to Mexico. After all, we took it from Mexico when settlers from the U.S. revolted, after being welcomed and given land by that country. I expect the Texicans wouldn't be too happy with that, but they wouldn't have to put up with inconvenient Democracy and U.S. federal laws.
Should Scotland be an independent country? The referendum is set for September. Is Obama an Anglophobe?
ReplyDeleteCrimea, Scotland, now Venice votes on secession.
ReplyDeleteCatalonia, the Basque country, Wales. History of being able to act as independent States.

DeleteSo ric, the unionist ends justify any means.
DeleteWilliam we are a union whether you like it or not. And joining was voluntary and forever.

ReplyDeleteLet's see here. Texas, an independent country when annexed, should be given back to Mexico as some acceptable reversion to you?
DeleteAs far as the US could possibly have a say would be for it to go back to being independent.
California, New Mexico, Nevada, on up to Oregon I'll give you.
While we're at it, let's give "Mexico" back to the Injuns.
Lol. Obama should take Glascow ...
