Solving our problems OR trying to brainwash the American public

So what do you think about this ??

According to the Atlantic, Time managing editor Rick Stengel's decision to join the Obama administration is just the latest example of a new trend among mainstream media journalists who are making it official by officially joining the Obama administration. Stengel, who is joining the State Department, is just one of 15 (or 19) who have given up a career in journalism to join Obama's crusade to fundamentally transform America:

A wave of reporters went to work for President Obama early in the administration, a time when many media organizations were going through layoffs and Obama's approval rating was sky-high. The flow has tapered off since then. The Washington Post's Ed O'Keefe has semi-regularly kept tabs on the number of reporters working for Obama administration, counting 10 in May 2009, 14 in 2010, and 13 in 2011. The Washington Examiner's Paul Beddard counted 19 reporters working for "Team Obama" in February 2012, but he included liberal advocacy groups as part of the "team."
Whether the number is 15 or 19, the fact that this many so-called journalists from outlets as influential as CBS, ABC, CNN, Time, the Washington Post, Boston Globe, and the Los Angeles Times want to work at the very same administration they are supposed to hold accountable, is not only troubling, it also explains a lot.
Why would anyone enamored enough with an Obama administration they want to go work for, do anything that might make a potential employer uncomfortable -- you know, like actually report on ObamaCare and the economy honestly, or dig into Benghazi and the IRS?
The media is left-wing and crusading enough without the potential of a cushy government job being held out as a carrot.
And don't think the Obama administration isn't doling out these jobs for a reason. What a wonderful message to send to the world of media: Don't go too far, don't burn a bridge, don't upset us too much and there just might be a lifeline off the sinking MSM ship.
And obviously it is working.
On top of this problem, you have a number of top news network executives related to top Obama officials, many of them at the center of the Benghazi scandal - which also explains a lot.

Larry Summers Withdraws.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney)

After months of contentious public debate, Larry Summers has withdrawn his name from consideration to become the next chairman of the Federal Reserve.

President Obama said he spoke with Summers earlier Sunday and accepted his decision.
"Larry was a critical member of my team as we faced down the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, and it was in no small part because of his expertise, wisdom, and leadership that we wrestled the economy back to growth and made the kind of progress we are seeing today," the president said in a statement.
"I will always be grateful to Larry for his tireless work and service on behalf of his country, and I look forward to continuing to seek his guidance and counsel in the future," the president added.

Current Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke's term is set to end in January. Before the appointment can be made official, the Senate is tasked with holding confirmation hearings and voting on the nomination.
While Summers is no stranger to high-profile roles and has a close relationship with Obama, forged in the depths of the financial crisis, he would have been a controversial pick.
During his time as Treasury Secretary in the Clinton administration, Summers earned his reputation as a deregulator. Summers urged Congress to repeal parts of a Depression-era rule called Glass-Steagall, which prevented financial institutions from simultaneously acting as investment banks, commercial banks and insurance companies. This move paved the way for banks to become larger than ever.
Also in the late '90s, Summers pushed back against a movement to regulate complex derivatives. Some say, both those decisions played a role in precipitating the 2008 financial crisis.
If Obama had picked Summers, one of his economic mentors, the confirmation hearings could have been dicey. In July, a group of Democratic Senators sent a letter to Obama urging him to choose top contender Janet Yellen, who currently serves as vice chair at the Fed.
"Our nation badly needs a chairman with a solid record as a bank regulator," the letter said.

Apocalypse Again.

(CNN) -- When the apocalypse comes, I'm pretty sure I can get by for a while on Diet Coke and Klondike Bars.
Pants won't be necessary.
But if we're talking about real long-term survival, no matter what horrible hell eventually strikes down upon us -- be it zombies or fire from the skies -- I'm pretty much a sitting duck.
\
"Apparently This Matters" Is Jarrett Bellini's weekly (and somewhat random) look at social-media trends.
My little craftsman-style bungalow isn't exactly a fortress.
Conversely, this week the Internet started buzzing about what appears to be the ultimate doomsday bunker that recently went up for sale in Las Vegas for $1.75 million. Of course, the bunker comes along with a proper above-ground house. But the real draw is the amazing subterranean hideaway that's 26 feet below.
A wealthy entrepreneur names Jerry Henderson built the compound back in 1978 -- right during the middle of the Cold War. Fearing that the Soviets might drop some sort of Earth-flattening nuke (or maybe just a really aggressive bear on a unicycle) Henderson created his grand survival plan with all the must-have comforts of home.
Well, almost. There doesn't appear to be a giant ball-pit filled with hamsters.
Don't judge. You have your comforts. I have mine.
That said, it pretty much has everything else you'd want if you were to live beneath the dirt. And it's not just a tiny space to move and breathe -- we're talking 15,000 square feet of basement with a pool, two Jacuzzis, a sauna, and a four-hole putting green. It's all decorated to feel like you're in a real house or in a real backyard. Hell, it even has a dance floor.
"Everyone we know is dead. Let's Dougie!"
The actual living space within the basement is a complete two-bedroom house with exterior walls and a front a door. It kind of looks like it came from The Brady Bunch, and measures 5,000 square feet. Which is huge! And not just for a doomsday bunker.
For the sake of comparison, my entire home in Atlanta is only 1,500 square feet. And it's not nearly as pimped out as Henderson's bunker.
What can I say? The paper vase filled with multi-colored sticks from IKEA seemed wild and exciting at the time.
Meanwhile, at the '70s-retro bunker in Vegas, one can relax around the fake property amidst murals of nature, just as if you were actually outside. And to enhance the mood, you can adjust the lights and ceiling stars to simulate different times of day. The switches are labeled for sunset, day, dusk and night.
The most advanced switch in my house turns on the garbage disposal.
Over the years, the home-and-bunker combo at 3970 Spencer Street has gone through different owners since Jerry Henderson first built it. The most recent occupant bought the property back in 2005 for $2 million.
However, last summer Seaway Bank and Trust Co. foreclosed on the home, and now they're trying to sell it off -- presumably to someone who seeks safety at the end of the world, but doesn't mind living in what, otherwise, seems like a rather drab part of town.
Also known as metro Las Vegas.
Mind you, there's nothing overly horrible about the location -- it's conveniently close to downtown if you need it -- but a little stroll around the block using Google street view reveals that the neighborhood is kind of boring, and the house actually faces an ugly office building and a bunch of power lines.
On the plus side, I did locate a 7-Eleven less than a mile away. And, in a pinch, those delicious spinning meat tubes at the counter should be able to withstand the apocalypse for at least a decade or two.
"Son, distract the zombies. I'm sending your mother out for more taquitos."
Though I'm sure he didn't consider proximity to convenience stores, Henderson was, nevertheless, a big believer in underground living in general. Before his Vegas compound, he lived in a similar-style home in the '60s near Boulder, Colorado.
Eventually, he even co-founded Underground World Home Corporation to build these subterranean dwellings for others, and he presented the idea at the 1964 World's Fair in New York with the slogan: How would you like sunshine every day... when you want it?
Of course, we all do. That's why we have Prozac and whiskey.
But if you fear the end of days and want to enjoy your final hours in a weird underground time capsule from the '70s, all this can be yours.
Or you can just hunker down with me.
You'll love my garbage disposal.

Exceptionalism

Todays good news

Reuters
By Abdi Sheikh and Feisal Omar
MOGADISHU (Reuters) - A U.S.-born Islamist militant on Washington's most wanted list was killed in a gunbattle in Somalia on Thursday, witnesses said, after he fell out with the al Shabaab rebel group's top commander.

Residents in al Baate village in southern Somalia said Alabama-born Omar Hammami, commonly known as Abu Mansoor al-Amriki or "the American", and a British national known as Usama al-Britani were shot dead in a dawn raid on their hideout.

Hammami's killing exposed the rifts in al Shabaab's top ranks as the group affiliated to al Qaeda grapples with an African Union-led military offensive that has captured key cities from the militants, depriving them of revenues.

"This morning al-Amriki and his comrades were attacked by well armed fighters," said village resident Hussein Nur. "After a brief fight al-Amriki and his two colleagues were killed. Several of their guards escaped."

A shopkeeper from the rebel-controlled village heard al Shabaab fighters confirm the deaths and said the militants had closed off the area where Hammami was gunned down.

There was no immediate proof of Hammami's death from al Shabaab.

Hammami's father, Shafik Hammami of Daphne, Alabama, told Reuters he learned of his son's death when he woke up to read the news online. Speaking softly, he said his love for his son was unconditional and hoped he was still alive.

"I read on the Web that the FBI has not confirmed it yet, so I am hoping and praying it is not true," Shafik Hammami said, adding he has not seen or talked to his son since Omar left for Somalia in 2006.

TEA PARTY CAVALRY

Apocalypse Now!

From Yahoo! News

A San Diego man is building what is believed to be the world's largest subterranean doomsday resort—with amenities such as a wine bar, golf course, spa and dance floor for those waiting out the end of the world.
Construction for the 2 million-square-foot bunker is underway in the limestone caves of Atchison, Kan., where an apocalypse-adverse family in a 20-foot RV can seek shelter for a $20,000 fee (plus the cost of food).
"Hopefully, it will never be needed, but if it is, it will be priceless," builder Robert Vicino told ABC News.
The massive complex will sit 130 feet underground and will be sealed with two-foot-thick steel and concrete doors. Vicino, who described the project as an "underground cruise ship," said he plans to open the resort before the apocalypse so that guests can enjoy the amenities.
"We said, 'Lets not make it just available for a catastrophe, but let's turn it into a 24/7 resort where our members can go until the moment of truth," he said. "You get your cake and eat it too."
Vicino said the Kansas shelter, which has RV 1,500 spots, is already at 10 percent capacity.
"We have emergency room doctors, surgeons, bankers, lawyers -- people from all aspects of life," he said.
And although Vicino said he doesn't know when or if doomsday will come, he said it's important to watch for warning signs of a looming disaster.
"The key is you have to leave before it's too late," he said, "but if you can get there after the fact, we'll still let you in."

Russia moves to protect Iran's nuke efforts, I told you so, Iran is the problem!!

UN fake sanctions: Russia to give Iran S-300 Missiles

UN sanctions won’t bar sale of Russian S-300s to Iran. Congress to wait for Security Council before passing own sanctions.

Test launch of the Russian S-300 air defense system US officials conceded on Thursday that the new Iran sanctions resolution being discussed at the UN Security Council will not ban Russia from selling its advanced S-300 air defense system to Tehran.
Russia is already under contract to sell the state-of-the-art anti-aircraft systems to Iran, and Moscow insisted yesterday the resolution would not bar the sale, countering numerous reports to the contrary earlier in the day. American officials later admitted the Russians were right. Moscow has delayed the transfer of the coveted weaponry to Iran several times under pressure from the US and Israel, as its delivery would complicate any Western pre-emptive strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Source: ICEJ.org
My comment:
What if Iran tests its first nuclear bomb?
First than we will come to know, if United Nations sanctions are effective or not. And if these sanctions are not effective, what is the United Nations going to do?

Than one option will be to  attack the Iranian Nuclear facilities, to stop Iran from developing more nuclear bombs.

Russia has just made such military actions almost impossible.  Because giving Iran such anti-Air craft missiles, will enable Iran to shoot down F-16 aircrafts. Israel will have to take enormous risks for their pilots. The risk will be so high, that the Jewish state might be forced to use their submarines. They are most likely loaded with small nuclear warheads.
Russia just made war more likely. And not war with conventional weapons, but a nuclear war in the Middle East. A war that most likely will trigger World War III:
