Hatred of Obama will NOT put Romney in the White House

For those of us who suffered through the Bush years (W) and simply could not tolerate the man, the intense dislike (hatred) of Obama is understandable.  We know some of what you feel.  We suffered greatly under the Bush WH.  There was nothing we could do, and when he won a second term, we moaned and groaned -------we wore sackcloth and ashes, we were in mourning.

In my heart of hearts I believe that the intense dislike of Bush, his cronies (including Darth Cheney), his wars, his utter contempt for anything, or anyone, not dyed-in-the-wool , conservative Republican rich folk-------all this, and more, were enough to put Obama in the White House.

Will the intense dislike, I say utter hatred, of Obama put Romney in the White House?  Obama , in 2008, was new, charismatic, educated and-----------COOL, he was, and is, likable to the bone.  He's funny, he's quick witted and down to earth, he has an equal in his wife and he is the father of two teenage girls.  He is now experienced in foreign policy, with 4 years under his belt to build on the next 4 years and make the progress he has envisioned.

We had Clinton and things were good.  We got Bush and things went all to hell.  We got Obama and things are getting better---------why would anyone want to do the Romney thing which harkens back to the bad ole days of Bush?

I ALMOST feel sorry for Mitt Romney---------he keeps being honest about his real feelings toward the rest of mankind ( and womankind).  He has utter contempt and derision for those who are not in the 1%, which by the way, he wants to vote for him. He even lamented he was not a Latino, which was a derisive and racial comment.  Who has he NOT offended?

I mean, what's a working class, out of work, down and out, barely surviving Republican supposed to do?  Vote for Romney?  Vote for Obama , whom they cannot stand, but owe their survival ( albeit temporary)
to?

Who is left to vote for him but the 1%????? See, that's the problem------there ain't enough of 'em.  It takes the 99% that he has dissed time and time again.  Are they really as dumb as he thinks they are?

Romney would get into a lot less political trouble if he just learned to hand speak with sign language

Romney just keeps making gafs.  He almost makes Joe Biden look like a seriously great orator.  He keeps having to retrospectively EXPLAIN almost EVERYTHING he says.  His latest is on Libya------enough already.

At least, if he learned hand speak, maybe he could think before he opens his mouth------which needs a regulator.

Romney will NOT raise taxes on the MIDDLE CLASS by not taxing interest, dividends and capital gains-----HUH?

The middle class , for the most part, no longer gets interest, dividends and capital gains. Many people in the middle class, if they have any cash are getting 1% interest.  Most in the middle class, including myself, no longer have dividend income because we no longer have dividend producing funds------everything is going into living and trying to stay alive. The 1%ers are the ones who get dividend income.

 Every time food, gas and medical costs go up, and income stays the same, the money has to come from SOMEWHERE--------for us it has eaten up our savings.  The only money we spend is on necessities like food, gas, the mortgage and household bills, not to mention medical care.

Now to capital gains------------on what Mr. Romney?  Interest, dividends and capital gains are 1% issues-----NOT middle class issues.

OMG---------this man is so out of touch with the people in this country.  Who IS this man?

Romney said to David Gregory on MTP this am, "I am not concerned for myself, I am fine, I am worried about Americans."  Poor ole Romney, does not get even the basics.

Oh really???????  Snake oil politics, slick and slimy, making economic medicinal claims without any economic medicinal cures--------Republican snake oil salesman = Romney & Ryan.

Ask bin Laden if he is better off than he was 4 years ago--------

There have been some very memorable lines from the DNC.  The RNC has just one, tired old mantra-------"Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?"  Over and over and over and over-----ad nauseum.  At least the Dems have a new applications of that hackneyed old phrase.

I am anxious to see the poll results after the convention to guage whether or not there was a bump up in the numbers for O.

As Clinton pointed out about the RNC------"I didn't know whether to laugh or cry."  Me either Mr. Clinton, me either.

WHY would anyone want to be a Republican?

I am having a ball watching the DNC------lottsa noise, lottsa fun and laughter, all colors and types of humans that exist on the planet---------and NUNS!  Those women rock.  Educated, cultured, diverse, compassionate, brilliant and FUN.

This DNC, in particular, is diverse and dynamic, and full of color.  Bill Clinton is irrepressable--------he's still got it.  What a guy--------and he and Obama seem to have grown closer.  I have a sense when I see them together that Obama has EARNED Clinton's respect------they truly seem to like one another now.  That makes me happy.

I think it was Bill Maher, irreverant soul that he is, said that the Republicans did have a Latino, but with the Democrats they come in pairs (referring to the Mayor of San Antonio and his twin brother).

The Republicans had a convention, but the Dems are having one helluva PARTY!
