Investigations have cleared Univ of Virginia Frat of Rolling Stones widely reported gang rape... but

The University of Virginia reinstated its chapter of Phi Kappa Psi—the fraternity where Jackie claimed to have been gang raped, according to Rolling Stone—after the cops failed to find evidence that the horrible crime actually occurred. The fraternity's national organization has reinstated it as well, effective immediately.

It's not surprising that a pack of overbearing bureaucrats are peddling dubious safety requirements based in Victorian sexual morality—legislating morality and covering people in bubble wrap are two of their favorite things.  In a sane world, this would be an occasion for the angry villagers to lower their pitchforks and discuss the biases and processes that led them to the wrong conclusions.

But the angry villagers seem undeterred. I suppose that's what makes them angry villagers. For too many people, it was always the agenda that mattered, not the truth.

  1. Legislation of morality is an issue of the right. Ever hear of 1 man 1 woman is a marriage and thank god we are getting that abomination of peoples rights destroyed state by state. Yes this story was wrong but if you think unwanted sexual encounters isn't a problem on our college campuses then you are already inside a bubble wrap cocoon.

    1. This was wrong... but... Lena Dunham falsely accused someone but... These were two people who made up stories to sensationalize a problem...Should these people not be charges as terrorists then? People crying rape is a problem too you know…

The unfortunate thing of course is that these false accusations are a very small percentage of the real incidents but the need for some individuals and publications to sensationalize the problem do much more harm than good… especially when they have an army of people who excuse their actions.

As far as your other remark about the abomination of rights and the copious use of bubble wrap (paid for by others I might add) refer to bureaucrats in general... but if you are having a bit of a guilty conscience... I do understand. As to which party those various laws can be attributed to my answer to you here:

Folks such as yourself want to call people like me apologists for rapists when of course I am only talking about the injustice of someone setting up someone else with a life ruining lie but as the last of the original post said:
