I told you Global Cooling was a far greater threat to mankind than Global warming!

Hope all you lefties, Max.. Got the memo.. No such thing as Global Warming.  G.C. Was about stealing money for research, yep and it sure did pay off didn't it".......LOL!

  1. I assume TD you are making reference to the current cold snap over the US. Again since you don't know the difference between climate and weather one would expect you to post this type of garbage. Did you know that globally TD, (it's global warming not America warming), 2013 is the fourth hottest year on record. Yes we have had cooler then normal weather in US but alas TD we are not the entire global world.

  2. Lol fucking L! Global warming is a scam for washed up hack scientists to get money. 2013 "was the fourth hottest year on record" for who, what country? They only have thirty years of "global"data you clown, all the rest is conjecture.

    1. Geesh TD calm down calm down my friend. Just by your response you just don't get it. What country you ask? See you don't get it. Global Warming is the entire earth it isn't one region one country. That is called weather. Overall Global Climate. 2013 was the 4th hottest on record. TD I don't where you get this 30 year bullshit but accurate weather and temperature records began to be kept in 1850 or so. Anything before that yes is conjecture. But TD that is a hell of a lot longer then 30 years. Guess watching FOX News does dumb you down, that's what I have been hearing anyway.

    2. Satellite data fool.

    3. NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth's atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. The study indicates far less future global warming will occur than United Nations computer models have predicted, and supports prior studies indicating increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed.

    4. "The satellite observations suggest there is much more energy lost to space during and after warming than the climate models show," Spencer said in a July 26 University of Alabama press release. "There is a huge discrepancy between the data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans."

In addition to finding that far less heat is being trapped than alarmist computer models have predicted, the NASA satellite data show the atmosphere begins shedding heat into space long before United Nations computer models predicted.

The new findings are extremely important and should dramatically alter the global warming debate.

    6. Oh TD that explains your confusion. Your in space and I am talking about the earth's global temperatures. So we'll just throw away the other 160 years of data because you found a satellite that will spin the facts the way you want them. No wonder you guys can't grasp this. You've left the planet looking for a rebuttal.

    7. Obviously you're more comfortable with sciences that don't include modern techknologies, my bad.

  7. To reiterate something I said before TD, arguing the science of global warming and related climate change is NOT my thing. Instead, I much more interested in pollution. It might have been you that made the flippant wise ass comment to me that if I didn't like China's pollution, I shouldn't go there. That kind of ignorance that China's pollution has no effect on us is what I challenge. You are very dialed into (angrily so it would seem) a crusade (jihad?!?) against global warming. Sorry to disappoint, but convincing people that global warming is real is not MY crusade.

    1. Max,

I agree that it is silly to think pollution in China doesn't affect anyone else. All that particulate matter being spewed into the atmosphere can reflect sunlight away from the earth's surface, cooling things up. Then there are the other effects, not related to global temperatures.

I feel sorry for those poor souls over there who have to mask up all the time. Glad we don't live there.

    2. Those people walking around with masks are living the dream of nearly pure capitalism. No one tells businesses what to do, not in any meaningful way anyhow. The results speak for themselves.

    3. Pure capitalism in the most centralized country on the planet. You're insane Max.

    4. For blue meth tea party types, no, it's not capitalism, but then again, nothing short of Galt's mythical gulch is.

    5. Pettis said the Chinese government is pushing a "go west" campaign. While "go west" worked in America's development, it failed miserably in Soviet Russia and Brazil. The difference, he said, is that in America, the private sector moved west and the government simply followed. In China, Russia and Brazil, the government pushed infrastructure west but without private-sector participation.

Given the political power of the state-owned enterprises (SOEs), China's political and financial systems do not have self-correcting mechanisms. Such mechanisms require transparency and feedback that is lacking in China.

As for the "if we build it, they will come" narrative that underpins the China Bulls' case, Chanos said that there is already 15 square meters of empty space per capita in China, meaning that there is 135 sq. ft. of empty interior area per person in China, and another 10 billion square meters is under construction.   Housing is already astronomically high in terms of the average urban annual income-- the annual income/cost of a flat ratio is higher in China, even in 2nd and 3rd tier cities, than in high-cost locales such as London and New York.   Most of China's populace cannot possibly afford the tens of millions of flats being built or sitting empty.
