You post a lot of these things about Egypt, Syria and whatnot Live, but you never say what exactly it is you want when I ask. Again I ask, do you want us to drop a couple hundred thousand troops in that area and just start a war with anyone not appropriately kissing our ass? I wonder how many more decades we will keep pouring money into that region of the world to people that either really don't like us or that don't like Israel. I wonder why Rand Paul's questioning of that conundrum has been ignored.
ReplyDeleteIs the GOP not aware that hurricanes tend to hit Florida this time of year? So if Crist will hand Florida to the GOP, is that an admission you think the GOP is doing such a shitty job convincing people in Florida to vote for them that they need someone to "hand it to them"?

DeleteMy concern is this. Israel is our ally. We need a two state solution. Much of the Middle East wants to destroy Israel. Obama's weak presence has emboldened Israel's enemies. They are closer to war than ever and we will be sucked in to it because of Obama's poor foreign policy. What would I do? I would flood Israel with U.S. troops and armor.That would deter all but a nuclear attack in the short term. At the same time I would demand a two state solution and I would cut off aid to Egypt is they don't go along.
DeleteAs for the Hurricane, the Republicans could hold the convention in Phoenix and the media would STILL blow the hurricane out of proportion and talk about the shadow of GW. A cat 1 hurricane is nothing but an excuse for people in New Orleans to go party. To give an example of how the media is trying to sensationalize the Hurricane, Diane Sawyer just talked about the risks of tornadoes in the Dark of the night? and here I thought tornadoes could happen night or day.
People are much less likely to be motivated for violence if they are happy and satisfied. My plan would be to insure that internet porn is available to all of the sexually repressed beings. Maybe they will tire of masturbating and start to look for information outside of what they are force fed. All military aid needs to stop. We are wishing for peace and funding war. The US should move away from government supported war toy manufacturing and start making something that will actually further human development. We can give our aid for purchase of those items.
DeletePorn won't do much good for those millions of Muslim women who have suffered female castration. Nor will it do much good for those women whom have acid thrown in their eyes.
DeleteMaybe it won't do much for them, but it might help curb the anger that would cause this to happen to future generations of women. I was actually using a little absurdity as a generalization for having free access to any and all information these people may want on any topic. The truth shall set them free.
DeleteI appreciate that you took the time to answer live, so I won't be sarcastic. I tend to agree more with what Storm has said here as well as Rand Paul, we are calling for peace and funding war. Take that a step further back to Ayn Rand, and you have the axiom that contradictions do not exist. That's a bit simplistic, but when it comes to arms, I'm sure a lot of weapons providers are very happy with our current policy there.
DeleteAs an honest question, does the majority of this country truly give a shit about whether the Muslim world becomes Democratic? I don't believe they do. Many in this country, I believe, fervently support Israel because "It's what America does" while knowing little about what beefs the individual players have with each other.
Many in this country, Live, have what I believe is a very unrealistic view. They want Muslim theocracies to become Democratic without bloodshed and they want said countries to acknowledge that the made up country of Israel and it's western benefactors have the unquestioned right to tell everyone there what to do. At the government level, we seem to be giving money to all sides there in order to keep all of them pitted against each but not strong enough that any one state can successfully dominate more then one other state there.
While I may not agree with your solution, I acknowledge that many on the right feel that way. Looking at how we have acted in that region though over time and through several different POTUS's, I see a picture that I don't believe either the left or the right are happy with. However, the Suez has stayed open and Israel has not faced an invasion in a very long time. Can we honestly impose more then that?
Live... Take me a little farther down your path of a two state solution.... who, in your opinion is the problem protagonist and why?

I know what you are saying. But they don't have separation between church and state. Most places over there, the church is the state. So if you cheer a soccer game on TV, you can get shot in some places. Most music is banned. Go dancing? Get your head chopped off. Don't pray five times a day, you get whipped until you are bloody. Get raped? you are stoned to death for being an adulterer. Consume alcohol? Public lashing.

DeleteYea, finally made it ... will still be on a limited basis. Built a new computer to handle Battlefield 3 which has been the main focus for wuite some time. I have my new guille suit on ... jihadi kitty. :)
