The benefits of much lower oil prices are being enjoyed by people all over the world. All because of US technology utilizing horizontal drilling, and yes, that awful word, FRACKING.

My opinion about Iran and the Middle East? Phase out all ground and navel forces over eighteen months except for the defense of Israel (Israel BTW is now a natural gas giant). Let China and India worry about protecting the imported oil they need. Let the people who live in the neighborhood sort out their own civil wars.

Build the Keystone pipeline, approve the construction of additional oil refineries in LA and along with Canada and Mexico become the worlds most reliable low cost supplier. Encourage the restoration of the US as the great naval power (commerce and militarily) we always were.

Basic supply side economics. Be the low cost producer and the world's economy will flourish. Promote the benefits of capitalism with deeds not words.

I don't really care about who wins the Middle Eastern civil wars.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12064694227628006142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4066062120776667625.post-35882709553877394562016-02-17T06:41:52.721-08:002016-02-17T06:41:52.721-08:00What would victory look like? After Iraq, isn'...What would victory look like? After Iraq, isn't that a fair question to ask? We gave them a gift with Iraq, and we still have no answer for how to fix that. Stuff like this from Daniels is not helpful. By his logic, the least educated person we could find is probably the best because they won't get caught up in namby pamby correctness, the kind who start punching first and ask questions later.

Iran funds groups we don't like, and so do the Saudi's. By default, we fund all of them with our use of oil. Daniel's simple view here is good for winding people, but offers little in the way of solutions.
